Freelance Programmers And Web Developers Wanted by bamusamus: 5:36pm On May 02, 2013
An IT company based in Lagos is in urgent need of large number of freelance programmers and web developers to meet the demand of the large amount of clients suddenly at his disposal which are based mainly in North America, Europe and Australia.
• Are you innovative and creative and can you think outside the box?
• Are you an avid problem solver?
• Can you work under pressure and still meet deadline?
• Can you program well in any programming language or build compelling websites?
• Can you develop applications that meet global standards?

Payment will be per project executed.

If a developer gets a project execution proposal from us, he will be expected to state the amount he wishes to be paid for the execution of the project and how much time he requires to execute the project. Only a developer whose desired payment and project execution time are acceptable will be assigned the project.
Payment will be done after developer completes a job and it is accepted by the client.
Once a project is found acceptable, the developer will be expected to submit its source code.
It is only after a project and its source code are submitted that the developer gets paid.
It should be noted that all projects executed by the developers (and their source codes) and paid for are the intellectual property of our company protected by copyright laws and cannot be made available to third parties directly or indirectly.

All developers who find this condition of service acceptable should send their CV to megasoftdevelopers@gmail.com

If the client is not impressed with a developer’s work, the developer will lose the job and will not get any remuneration.

Payment will be done after developer completes a job and it is accepted by the client.
Once a project is found acceptable, the developer will be expected to submit its source code.
It is only after a project and its source code are submitted that the developer gets paid.

Trust, like respect, is reciprocal. If you can't trust someone, don't expect him to trust you cool

If both are the case, why did you guys request for a CV in the first place?

You got it. No trust even after a request for CV.
hmmm. What happen if after submission of your work and the
source code and a claim is made that the client reject it.
Giving you your source code back and reformatting of their system?

you just have learn to do your work, you could set up a demo on a free host for the client to test first before delivering your source code

Okay guys, I am a developer too, but we work with sensitive clients and have to bid for jobs. But most of the jobs are challenging innovation requiring jobs. There are ways to ensure your job is not stolen if you are a developer. Our chances of getting future jobs is dependent our performance. Our profile rises of fall depending on our performance. However, based on perceived lack of trust seemingly conveyed by the post. I will re-post a better version. However payment will be when job is completed, because that is the condition we work in respect to many of our clients. Watch out for the revised post.

this is no about distrust of developer. All proposals will be followed by a strong counsel not to attempt a job that cannot deliver on.People often start projects and spend eternity on it. I have done such before- I am a developer. Not every is good with innovative problem solving. It is when you get jobs proposals from us that you will realise that the conditions are really warranted. However, a revised post has no3w been done.

Personally I don't give out source code, talking from experience...with the source code not disclosed, I stand secured. It is a different case if I am working full time as an employed staff for the said company. If the company wants an application, we programmers can deliver but when you start talking about source code, it gives us the idea that you have some kinda plan. I believe source code delivery should strictly be the programmer's choice if to give it out or not. At most you have the functional application. Also why talk about CV? Hello that is why it is called a freelance job..I do not have to start stories about how "I got my admission into Luton University"..You should ask for profile, to show accomplishments! I also observed from your post, the fact that you didn't start by saying "A company based in Lagos requires freelance programmers to work on..e.g A crypting software or something, rather you want a full details of our list of programs! (Which might also be copyrighted)..

Some clients require source codes and are willing to pay for it. The same goes with us. It is a job , but freelance.

That is not the problem, this, is;

Once a project is found acceptable, the developer will be expected to submit its source code.
It is only after a project and its source code are submitted that the developer gets paid.

The source code is the only thing the developer has for an incentive. You can't ask him/her to bargain with nothing.
If it's a web application, he/she should host on his own server, and you test it online. If it's a plane website, he/she should send you an image/video (which is still risky).
If it's a desktop apps, he/she should send nothing angry

For me, IMHO, i would never start a job without the first payment. That payment means so many things to me. It means the client is serious about the project and has committed.
You don't just sign a contract and tell me to start working without the first payment. Do i look like a hungry man, this is a contract job not being hired.

Anyway, everyone has a choice wink
