Hey dude i was going to travel to Cancun for vaction this year but the US govt said that it is very dangerous right now because people are getting kidnapped for ransom etc |

Hey Omega25red, this is not true, I am in Cancun right now and many US citizens also in same hotel. Iberostar Paraiso. the people are friendly with many Maya temples to see and beach excellent. But the border with texas + california could be dangerous and this is about 800km away from Cancun so fly direct instead of driving is much preffered. |

Cancun is a major vacation spot. especially for US tourists during spring break, which happens to be at the moment. So, I doubt that the US govt. will issue such warning. As long as you are at the major vacation spots, which is pretty much what Cancun is known for, you should be fine. Hope you are having a wonderful time landis. I was there with my family a couple of years ago around this time. It was awesome! |

Hey Bossman, thanks. its awersome. I just finished a golf game, sweating and enjoy margarita. even condos now goes for 150k dollars. pity its 11hours from europe. yep. its paradise for kids, i wonder what we did with our coast line in nigeria. |

Bossman: @ bossman dude i do know Cancun is a major spring break spot but if you actually listened to the news or paid attention to the department of state website you will see that there is a warning for people travelling to Cancun right now because they said that Americans are being kidnapped for ransom. This is why i posted my initial post. Anyway landis enjoy your vacation and have a crazy monkey (drink) for me |
