I will have to go with New York. New York is the winner, hands down. There might be less crime overall in London, BUT it's not got the vibrance, 24/7 activity, variety or feel of New York.If you can't find it in New York, it either doesn't exist or it's not worth having.

Empire state building,Times Square, Madison Square garden, Central park, shopping on fith avenue, broadway shows and Dont forget the statue of liberty.

Anyway which city is your favorite?

I from Houston TX, spent 4 days in England last week: saw liverpool, London, etal. To be honest, England is not up to par with US shocked. US beats Englands to every bits angry. The only good thing there is their transportation lipsrsealed. Even the Nigerian in UK are pitiful, and sufferin undecidedg. Houston alone, without New York can handle a country like UK easily and it is a fact sad

Heaven help us if you consider travelling in a tube packed like sardines and waiting hours for buses to turn up good transportation.

At least in America where bus services stops around the evening, they always come on time and their Metro system ain't half bad too.

Still though, it's London all the way. tongue

LondonCool:

Its funny that people would like to compare a very small city like London  to New York. One is ancient and the other is modern. Both are international financial hubs and I wouldnt exchange the Georgian and Victorian relics of London for the suburbs of Bronx,Brookly,Queens and Harlem (and don't forget Babylon-oh yes o, there is North and West Babylon in New York)

The average bigtime US businessman in US makes his money in UK.During the Hurricane Katherina incident 90% of the US reinsurance was hedged in the UK.

I would chose New York to go and shop for bargains and bulk purchases with my superior spending power but I still prefer London for their sound education system, hustle and bustle on the trains/buses, instant money transfer (to Nigeria) outlets , unlimited choice of African foodstuff at Hackney,Brixton,Finsbury Park,Upton Park and Peckham Rye markets, and for the sound financial system that does not allow aspiring NINJA* applicants to become Home owners.

*NINJA=an acronym for No Income,No Job or Assets

And by that you mean the sound financial system of bolting the stable door once the horses had bolted. wink And I am sure you know how easy it is to become a mortgage broker regardless of your immigration status. cool

Its one thing to take CiMap exams to become a certified mortgage broker (anyone on a visit visa can get it) , its another to become an FSA approved mortgage broker-(thats where the stammering starts)

Seriously tho, New York and London have shittier transportation than the rest of Europe (I mean
France, Spain, BELGIUM, Netherlands) but yeah I still think London has betta transportation than New York.
Every public transportation is bound to have people packed like Sardines at sum point. . .come on! during rush hour. .
Plus apart from the tubes, the national rail services for examples, those are EXCELLENT!! Jus ma opinion. . . tongue

No way, the chapter would only close when the tube starts running to full efficiency and I am able to get a seat, no reclining bed, in rush hour. tongue

You're totally right. New york has one of the (if not the) biggest cities in the US. Cool, but i would only like to go there for shoppin' sprees, etc. It's only 5 hours away from here, we got the same weather and everythin'--> too damn cold in the winter! I'll like to move to the south or a warmer state---> Fl, TX, GA, etc. . .As for London, i'll only like to visit there also. . .i don't think they got nice clothes cheesy but i'll like to visit tho, don't wanna live there with their accent and all, they crack me up!! tongue
