I think the spiritual head of one bilion catholics is rather much more than just a 'symbolic figurehead'.

See this mad woman. Do you care about anything apart from keeping that your pathetic "mid-level .NET engineer" position somewhere in America's mid-west? Abegi! Go sidon for dustbin! Yeye! If you have nothing to say, why not move on instead of typing that trash "I really don't care". As if we care whether you care or not. Trying to disrespect a thread on the Pope, just because your sad ass is not Catholic!

@topic jare,
I'm not Catholic, but if the next Pope is a black man, it will make me very happy!
Re: Next Pope From Africa by oldie(m): 4:16pm On Apr 28, 2008
I am not religious either, but if we had a black pope now, it would not be the first time.
There had been three other black popes!
Having another one next, will not make me unhappy though

Ditto!

It's not going to boost our economy, our status, or solve our problems so it really shouldn't be all that big of a deal.

Why post it only twice? There's still room to post your silly comment a thousand times.

I just don't get some folks on this forum sometimes. If you are not a freaking catholic and you don't care if the next Pope is black why post. There are thousands  of freaking threads on Nairaland you can post on. Is it that some folks are just trying to get there post number higher or what ? I'm sorry but I just don't get it.

Oh it's easy,  freedom of opinion and freedom to post as much as you want. Take advantage of it sometime. What I fail to understand though is how people who claim to have been wronged by some other race and claim it is a racial issue most all the time, continue to make race a HUGE issue when it comes to their own lives and decision making process and do not see how hypocritical that is.
