Imagine if there were no wars, famines, disease, murder or anything that can end a life, and the only thing that human beings would die from would be old age. There would be up to 12 billion (I exaggerate  ) people in the world. With this many people, do you think the human race would survive? No resources, food/water, housing or employment to go around and we would all be in trouble. Now, thinking about past (and even ongoing) events that have caused mass deaths such as wars, the famines in Africa, earthquakes, bombings, the Black Plague- that killed nearly half of Europe's population, the Holocaust etc, don't you think they happened for our good? Not to be insensitive or anything  I realized this while reading Dan Brown's newest book: Inferno |
