It is possible to make and maintain peace with God.
God wants us to be at peace with Him.
Our sins put enmity between us and God, where peace should be.
Righteousness reconciles us to God.
But our righteousness is not righteous enough to reconcile us to God.
True righteousness, acceptable before God, is afforded us in Christ Jesus and it is by faith, from first to last.

The last time I checked, God made no peace with man! Is it the slaughtering of first born chuld of the Egyptians. Or the atrocity of murdering millions of people on earth via the flood water? Or is it the different diseases that are plaguing human, that God himself created.. Are those indications of peace?
Rubbish!

Daddy, you know I love you 7 days every week. But I just want my friends reading this to understand that though I love you this much, your love for me overshadows all my love.
I am so glad I have you as a Father, the Almighty, the King of kings, the Lord of lords.
I love you, Dad.

Democracy is not practiced in a kingdom.
In a kingdom, the king is usually the sole authority.
If you want your right to free speech, movement and other "basic human rights", then you may not fit into a kingdom.
One of the best things in life is to sleep knowing that you are safe because your leaders are up to the task.
We cherish the facts that our King:
- knows the end from the beginning;
- has plans to bring us to expected ends;
- never sleeps nor slumbers(He watches over us);
- Loves us with an everlasting Love.
We belong to the Kingdom of God!
You are welcome to join us in the Peace with God community.

Light of the world
Light draws attention. Even when an attempt is made to hide it, it still finds a way to announce itself through the slightest opening or transparency. It is not to be hidden. A light source can be in one place, yet the illumination it gives will permeate a very large area. Take a look at the sun, it's distance from the earth and consider how bright sunlight is.
God is Light; in Him there is no darkness at all(I John 1:5). In the spiritual realm, there is one God, who alone is Light. Outside of Him is darkness. If you are separated from Him, you are in darkness. In Him, you are in Light and you are the light of the world, not of your own merits but because Christ, and God through Christ, live in you. When your light shines before men, good deeds manifest. So, good deeds are the physical products of the spiritual Light in you(Remember: God is Light). Men will see your good deeds and have no option than to glorify your Father who is in heaven(Matthew 5:14-16). If we claim to have fellowship with Him and yet walk in the darkness, we lie and do not live by the truth(I John1:6)(NIV).
If we really want to please God, it is important that we seek to know what is expected of the children of God, the children of light.
May God bless you as you manifest Him to the world henceforth.

THE WILL OF GOD (I)
PREAMBLE
In this first write-up of the series, "The Will of God", let us look back at some issues that formed the background of the status quo in our relationship with God before Christ came.God made the world and everything in it, including man(Acts 17:24)All that God created, including man, was perfect at creation as God, himself, "saw all that he had made and it was very good"(Genesis 1:31). God was happy with His creation, including man and had a good relationship with man.Every man is independent in his thinking, decision making, speaking and actions. But God wants man to independently decide to depend on Him.(Deuteronomy 30:19; Joshua 24:14-15). Therefore, every man is accountable for all his words, thoughts and deeds(Matthew 12:36-37; Romans 14:12; Hebrews 4:13).When man sinned, he became separated from God. Sin breaks our relationship with God (Isaiah 59:1-2). Basically, sin is rebellion towards God, since in sinning, we do the wrong things as against God's instructions/commands to do good/right things. Remember, "he who does what is right is righteous"(I John 3:7). So, if sin put enmity between man and God, it will take righteousness to reconcile man to God....The wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23). The wages of the righteous is life, but the earnings of the wicked are sin and death(Proverbs 10:16)....there is no one who does good, who is righteous and never sins, not even one.(Ecclesiastes 7:20; Psalm 14:3) ...all our righteous acts are like filthy rags(Isaiah 64:6).

So, before Jesus Christ came into the world, this was the situation man found himself in:-
- All men had sinned and ought to receive the wages of sin, which is death.
- Man could not produce the kind of righteousness that can reconcile him to God.

Something needed to be done to salvage man's situation, to keep hope alive for man. Do you want to know what was done? Watch out for THE WILL OF GOD (II)

Hi Chilley,

Being at peace with God is great but before one can find this peace which is readily available, the individual needs to find peace with himself and his fellow man.

If we can't be at peace with ourselves and those around us, it is impossible to find this peace with God because it is impractical for one to give what he or she does not have.

Sometimes it is very difficult to be at peace with ourselves for a number of reasons but it is not altogether impossible...if we find peace with those we can see then we are a step closer to finding peace with God.

Being reconciled to God brings peace with self and others.

Jesus said to His disciples, in John 14:27, "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. ..." Also, in Scripture, there is reference, in Philipians 4:7, to "the peace of God", which transcends all understanding. Being at peace with God avails peace of God, peace with men and peace with oneself.

God bless you.

What Credit Is That To You? - Luke 6:27-36

In anything you think, say or do, the above question should be a crucial factor in your decision-making.
Some things you do simply translate to duty, obligation or responsibility. Such acts, before God, do not merit His rewards because they have been rewarded. - Matthew 6:1
You show love to and take care of your loved ones, family members, friends. In return, you expect them to be kind to you and show you love.
When you diligently do your work in the office. In return, you expect your salary, wage and/or other emoluments.
We can go on and on for many other things we say or do.
However, there are deeds that are done, usually in secret, without expecting anyone's approval, acknowledgement or repayments. Such deeds are qualitative before God. Examples are:
-Loving your enemies(who may have hurt you and do not show you love);
-Lending to those who ask of you (who cannot repay you, without expecting repayment);
-Pleading the cause of the poor and oppressed(Who cannot plead their cases);
-Providing for those who lack(Food for the hungry, clothes for the naked, as many as do not have what they need);
-Preaching the Gospel of Christ to the perishing.(Who do not even know they are perishing); etc

Ultimately, your aims should be to:
- "be sons of your Father in heaven, who is kind to the ungrateful and wicked", (letting His rain fall on the good and evil and His sun shine on the good and evil). - Matthew 5:45, Luke 6:35
- "Be merciful as your heavenly Father is merciful" - Luke 6:36

It's a message to me. Is it same to you?
God bless you.

If there was no sin, there would have been no need for salvation.
Without sin, we wouldn't need any "Good News" as we have it today.
Salvation, that we declare, is from the death and condemnation due to us because of sin. And the Good News(Gospel) is that though we (all) have sinned and the wages of sin is death, God does not want any of us to die and has let His Son, Jesus Christ, die the death we ought to die!
So, accepting that 'we have sinned' is a core part of the truth that will set us free.
God bless you today.
