Honeymoon is just a vacation for me. Would like to visit a new city that's overly touristy with decent-fine dining. Nothing special... its relaxing.

greatgod2012: Its not compulsory but its necessary, but it shouldnt be done in an expensive way that some people are making it to be. If one can afford it, alright, but for those who cant afford an expensive place can impoverise.
For example, when we did our own wedding, we didnt have enough money to lodge at the hotel or any other expensive place, but we did hide in our apartment for a whole week without going out, no entertaining of visitors whatsoever and we achieved our aims, we were closer, we enjoyed our intimacy very well without interruption from anyone, we talked about our differences, infact, during that 7 days, all we were doing were just eating, sleeping, having intimacy, talking, jesting, discussing etc, which are all the things we would have done if we had gone to an expensive hotel or other expensive places.
May God help us all.

this brings me to k2039's law of honey moon, which states tha irrespective of the place, costm provided intimate satisfaction, effective communication and happiness is achieved, you have achieved a great honey moon.

I'm sure after all this years, it still fresh in your mind and you wish you can travel back through time to those special romantic 7 days, That's what I call a real honey moon.

Good you mentioned 'some' people cos the first thing that comes to my mind is escaping from all the hasles of wedding planning and all the stress that come with it.

Apart from the afforementioned points, its also a period to reassure, restrategize, revalue your relationship with your spouse as it must have dawn on the couple that its no more gf/bf type of relationship. Its advised to do all these in a calm serene manner and environment as to avoid raising undue tensions.

As for the intense love making, its overrated. Its an icing on the cake as most couples may have grinded themselves out with se.x even before they started preparing their wedding.

Its just a period to learn to live and be used to only one person.

Scary tho'. undecided
