I guess a large percentage of us are now aware of the latest outburst of "free ISPs" roaming this forum.
The cause for concern here is the terminal used for their operation. . . ."glo" !!
Why is it a cause for concern?? Of course it is. . . . Its no news that s0me people are alleged to be browsing free with glo's gprs,the percentage of which is quit minimal & maybe unnoticeable by the service provider. . . . . . .but with the outburst of these "freedom ISPs" using glo as their main terminal there is bound to be a response from the service provider due to the traffic that would emanate from their activities. . . . . . . . .(*I guess I'm speaking french*)
simply put. . .its possible that 40% of browserz would use the network & glo wuld realize this but also they'd notice that they aren't smiling to the bank as before, likewise other paid ISPs would notice that subscriptions are n0t renewed by existing customers. . . . . . . . . .
So the question is would glo shut down their terminal ?? or what likely steps would they take to stop the parasitic process?? Would they step-up their security? or would they just "sidon look"?
so freedom is up & flying @ the moment. . . . .but would it come down

does dt freedom stuff work only wit glo?thou i used it with celtel em em es & wap but wap isnt free while mtn refuses 2 connect, maybe cos i dont have credit.

Actually the mistake people are making is the fact that they think its the "freedom ware" that makes the browsing free & thats not the case. .rather it depends on the insecurity of the service provider in question. . . . . .
The "freedom ware" is more or less like anyother 'firewall breaker' or proxy server if not exactly.
