Can one commit sins through dreams? If yes, is it possible to control your spirit when you are sleeping so that you will not sin against God in your dreams!
Re: Can Someone Commit Sins Through Dreams? by donigspain(m): 11:29am On Jun 27, 2013
NO... Although most dream events and actions are reflections and/or manifestation of one's spiritual status. I also think there's a level of consciousness that could make one control, direct or alter the proceedings of the dream world.

You can't commit sin in your subconsciousness.

Lies.

Acts 10
9 About noon the following day as they were on their journey and approaching the city, Peter went up on the roof to pray. 10 He became hungry and wanted something to eat, and while the meal was being prepared, he fell into a trance.
11 He saw heaven opened and something like a large sheet being let down to earth by its four corners.
12 It contained all kinds of four-footed animals, as well as reptiles and birds.
13 Then a voice told him, “Get up, Peter. Kill and eat.”
14 “Surely not, Lord!” Peter replied. “I have never eaten anything impure or unclean.”
15 The voice spoke to him a second time, “Do not call anything impure that God has made clean.”
16 This happened three times, and immediately the sheet was taken back to heaven.

And what exactly is your point?

If you can't commit sins while dreaming, why didn't Peter eat the meal?

haba, dat was a trance not dream... the simple answer can be found here...
Ecclesiastes 5:7 For in the multitude of dreams and many words there are also divers vanities: but fear thou God.
Ecclesiastes 5:3 For a dream cometh through the multitude of business; and a fool's voice is known by multitude of words.

So Peter's psychological response which was based on the Jewish traditional practice is now a STANDARD?
For your info, Peter refused eating from that sheet because it contained some animals the JEWS (tradition) considered unclean. It's just like someone offering me dog/cat/bat meat in the dream. I will reject it not because it's spiritually 'sinful' but simply because it is an unclean animal in Igbo land. To further buttress my point, read Leviticus 11, Deuteronomy 14 and Mark 7 vs 14 - 23. Remember, Judaism and Christianity are not the same. The last book (Mark 7:14-23) I cited is a Christian perspective on the concept of 'clean' and 'unclean' animals.

Educate me. What's the difference between a trance and a dream? And is it possible to sin in one and not the other?

The OP isn't about OP vs NT laws. Is it possible to sin in a dream?

And isn't it a sin to eat an unclean animal? Keep dodging.

You're lost man. Clearly, Peter's hesitation reveals he was quite cautious not to 'eat or even touch unclean animals. While I understand that Christianity considers those laws obsolete, it would be dishonest to claim that Peter declined the meal just because it was unclean.

In reply to your questions above:
1. NO! It's not possible to sin in a dream.
2. It can be a 'sin' (offence on tradition) according to trado-cultural practices but it is NEVER a sin spiritually (Christendom). Refer to Mark 7 vs 14 - 23.
3. I think it's getting abusive and as such I plea to withdraw from further exchange. Thanks!

SHALOM!

FECOSON:

YES, ON ALL COUNTS!

Whereas it is debatable whether or not such Sins mean anything, it is indeed significant, that we CAN FULLY CONTROL WHAT WE DO IN OUR DREAMS.

It is just a matter of TRYING.

Once you do this, however, you HAVE TO continue to the end.

The END RESULT of CONTROLLING DREAMS is that your DREAMSELF will MANIFEST PHYSICALLY, and INTERACT with the PHYSICAL WORLD, just like a normal Body- but able to use DREAM REALM LAWS OF OPERATION.

This is the ANGEL of a person.
