ODE NLA - A GREAT HUNTER

Sitting alone on a rocky stone
Waiting for him to come home
I hear the noise of children as they cheer him
Baba ode, baba oo, was their song from far-off

He smiles and brings out nuts from his pouch
They wanted to touch the game
But he only allowed them a gaze
Even the elderly acknowledge his hunting prowess

Coming home, he was like hero
who had gone to the Olympics and returned with gold medals
He had been away for a while
Mother and I praying for safe return

More than a man
Trees, birds and all animals in the forest trembles at his feet
At his return, a party is thrown to celebrate the arrival of the great hunter
Where all the 'Borokinis' come attending.
