I just want to state categorically that I have been sorely disappointed by Jumia and would strongly discourage anyone from using them. They do a lot of advertisement online and are very keen to attract people but are not willing to improve their services.
I tried buying a Blackberry Z10 some months back and did not get it till after 5 weeks and this is with a lot of back-and-forth phone calls and struggling for their attention. On 25th of June 2013, I ordered for some computer monitors and an LG external HDD and till today 3rd July, I am yet to get the items shipped. I am seeing a trend as I am getting the same excuses I got the last time they failed to deliver. The order for the HDD was cancelled without my knowledge and I just got an email asking me why I canceled my order. When I called them, they said the item is out of stock! But it was in stock when I ordered.
This is really frustrating and the customer care guys though polite are extremely unhelpful and appear confused in most cases.

Has anyone had similar experiences to share?

I have never felt comfortable to use most of this Naija our online markets. Unfortunately the basic naija buisness culture is not customer oriented.

Don't mind those folks. Placed order for a Nexus 7 + Mobile Data/3G version and they kept sending me wifi only versions. The CC agents don't even know the difference.
