Al Nasr Bid £850,000 For Odemwingie by Maxymilliano(m): 3:14pm On Jul 18, 2013

West Brom have rejected a bid of £850,000 from Dubai club Al Nasr for Peter Odemwingie.

Odemwingie is currently training with the reserves while the first-team squad are on a pre-season tour in Austria.

The club have told the Nigeria forward the figure does not meet the club's expectations and that they will not sell unless their valuation is met.

Odemwingie famously failed to engineer a transfer deadline day move to Queens Park Rangers in January despite driving to Loftus Road.

He made only infrequent appearances off the bench over the second half of the season after that, and had been linked with Crystal Palace, Hull City and Swansea.

However, the only confirmed bid has come from the Dubai and the 32-year-old remains in limbo after being told he does not figure in Steve Clarke's plans for the season.

Odemwingie's contract at the Hawthorns is due to expire next June.

The proud has been humble ...

A prolific striker training with the reserves while the first-team squad are on a pre-season tour in Austria spoke volume on how low our dear Osaze has sunk in recent time.

Guess that's the reward of ego ...

Is that name stil playing football. No wonder his stock has really drop to thousands. Someone that has not completed any 90mins of football since January till date(7months) after his fail atempt to join QPR.

This is the same player that is always the 1st name on Nigerians lips that would have made the difference 4 9ja at d Confed cup. That Keshi fail because he omitted Osaze n his likes.

From many of the posts here, it looks like many people are so quick to jump up in jubilation whenever bad news about Osaze is reported. I wonder what he did that is so bad that people want him to fail so badly! we are so quick to forget his ten years of pure dedication to the Super Eagles. Anyways, this is no news because other EPL clubs are already bidding 2.5 million pounds. Na wa for naija people!

Peter is simply an ODE(fool) he feels nothing can be done without him, without him eagles won AFCON. Westbrom escaped relegation, now his career is about to end, which player goes to dubai and succed or make headlines? Ode your own don done, you better stay in london and apologize to Nigerians..so god of soccer will smile on you again.

Only extreamely talented players can get away with disrespect and misdemeanor towards their superiors and paymasters.

Sports men/women around the world are being paid millions of dollars to keep shut, obey orders and play football or whatever sports it is.

Unfortunately, Odewinge is not aware of this.

It is most unfortunate that he finds himself at this level.
I guess it is a repercussion of what he and others did to undermine the authority of sia1.
He and cohort played so badly that we failed to qualify for 2012 nations cup.
see what has become of him today.
i dont pity the guy as i believe his career downward slope has just started.
