These is the first time am experiencing such in my family,I use to believe my family is neutral from all those S*hit until when my elder brother told my parent he was getting married,the first question my mum asked was is she our tribal girl?
I was kind of offended cos she didn't even bother to ask if the girl was God fearing,has good character.I think its an issue of Ignorance or fear of the future

cultural differences, language barrier, easier to trace the family history of the spouse and so on and so forth. in a way, it makes sense for the traditionalists but i ain't choosing any partner from a small group of women - why limit my options when there are billions of pretty women across the globe.

love does not even count much for me - i just want to explore and learn more from the culture in bratislava, bolivia, melbourne or st. vincent.

I think the reasons why many people advice to get married to members of the same ethnic group are mostly petty.
