It is inconcievable that those that say they are representing us do not want us to have access to information in this country. They quashed the FOI Bill like it was a rabies infection and yet they are conducting probes with tax payers money when all we needed was for every body to know everything before even the need for a probe. Me thinks they have somethings they are hiding and want to hide. WHAT DO YOU THINK? |

I suspect the reason why the FOI may have been quashed is cause they realize that feeding the Nigerian people ridiculous stories to get them all riled up for the wrong reasons is the best way to go, for them and for their pockets. For example, for months the same assembly kept passing the claim that Obasanjo's administration spent over $16 billion dollars on the power project. Now we ahear again that that number was more likely made up and the actual amount may have been about 1/5th of what was thought. But the Nigerian public has not only swallowed up the false numbers thrown out there but basically made Obasanjo in to a devil. Attention has moved from the current administration to Obasanjo who is no longer president and what do we have?? An almost ineffective people; people who are so blinded by their bitter hate for the past leader that they are unable to actually push to make sure this new man and the team in the house do their job and do it right. Nigerians need to learn to demand truth and demand it right now. |

Certainly they are fooling most nigerians with interest in pursuing shadows instead of substance.Nigeria need the FOI it will help to debunk speculations and bring truth to light.
