I don't think that Google mapo will be effective in Nigeria. I knwo it will work but nto sure if the data service will be sporadic so I am looking for a map that I can use to guide me around town. Sort of like a Thomas Guide.

Assuming you are using one of those Android phone like iphones,Yes they got map and you just type your location.

the map on android phone is very effective. I use a Samsung galaxy grand, the map guides me anytime i'm out of town. the voice command is also very helpful, no much need staring at the map.

I have a Note2 but I still prefer a paper map. Label me old fashion if you must. Lol

Yes you are old fashioned

you need to have Data plan so that you can use digital map.
