i hav a friend using sonyericsson K750i it got corrupt and while we want to flash it there was no firmware for the phone so we had to put W800i firmware,
it's as simple as that all u need to do is get a W series phone that the function match your K series phone nd has better function than your fone
goto a phone engineer and instruct him to flash ur phone wit the W series firmware at your own risk.
NOTE: you must be sure of both phones

I knew it was goin to work that way, it always came to my mind since i knew bout the flashing suff, and firmwares on Ipods,
but its always on the wrong aspect sha, like loading sony ericsson's firmware on Nokia.

Yeah changin yo' k750 to w800i is 90% p0ssible. But itz better when flash wit a c0mpatible M0NSTER PACK.

It's no rocket science. I bought my K750i Nov. 2005, using the SE update service sometime Mar. 2006 (during Census period), update was successful, but to my surprise, my phone won't turn on again. The only option I have was to flash the phone and not wanting any fake engineers to tamper with it - I had to Google for solution.

The good ol' is still very much alive 2yrs+ after flashing it with the w800i firmware from DavinciTeam - just follow instructions on this sites to letter.

The method aint as easy as some of u think it is cos u can damage ur fone even be4 u say 'gongo Aso'. It's not like i can't give u guyz a load down but it's a stream of long procedures and i'm on mobile so you can imagine how difficult that is. For now i have ma hands full already. No offence pls, i'll try 2 keep you guyz updated. Know 4 sure that if my assistance is required after having giving u the gist , it MAY attract some fee. But it's not alwayz all about the benjamin. Fellow nairalander, I was able to turn my "red"(firmware code) k750i to w800i with more than 50 patches(modification) and this was done 2years ago.

All you need is internet;look for sony ericsson forums for guides and s/wares, your data cable(some firmwares require another type of cable that doesnt come with the phones but can be obtained in the market), and you are good to go. My phone got bricked(went dead) twice but it worked eventually. Just follow the guidelines n instructions.

Rite now, I have a k810i, but i am tired of pimpin or upgrading, everytin na tym, phone pimpin no dey shak me again, but nothin do us sha!

Can this concept be applied to nokia phones? Jst trying to do d plus minus in my head.

Its not easy to mod nokia phone with ordinary swares and data cable. U will need to hack the firmware with complex means.
