djon78: I thank God for sites like these, where evil attrocities committed is brought to open. The desperation of 2015 may end up consuming the aso rock man, honestly. The best candidate in this Anambara election is Soludo followed by Ngige, and only one of them should become our Governor.

If Soludo is out of the race, then the election will be won by Ngige, under who Jonathan can kiss goodbye to votes from Anambra in 2015 causeTinubu through Ngige will rig him out. Peter Obi does not have the machinery nor performance to decide what will happen in the election. I hope Bianca Knows that there are enough Heavy weights in Anambra State that no single person can hijack the political machinery talkless if Obi. Allowing Peter Obi to play his game means the death of APGA. I support Goodluck for 2015, but not at the expense of the Ojukwu's legacy.

Looking also at the other side if Soludo, I suggest he builds bridges and reach out to GEJ to provide assurances. Politics is all about interest, by moving out of PDP he has already demonstrated that his future is not tied to Atiku. As long as Soludo is not playing any part in PDP primaries for 2015, he is not a threat to the president in any manner. Letting Soludo leave for the so called PDM is giving two new parties a lot of credence in the heart of the South East. The contest is between Soludo and Ngige, if you do not have one of them you are out of the race.

GEJ should allow Soludo to run, as an assurance , setup the the post election tribunal to run uptill 2015, in which case he will toe the line.

Soludo is an internationally acclaimed economist. Soludo is a professor in all fields of Economics. He once solved Regression analysis in Macro Economics without looking into any book. Has been a visiting professor to Oxford and Harvard.

Why won't Obi and PDP be afraid of him? Obi has secrets to hide and a man of Soludo's calibre will deflate his bag of tricks within 9 minutes of entering Government House. It will take any other person 8 years to understand the antics behind Peter Obi's govt.

If Soludo wins, Obi will go to jail. If Ngige wins, Obi will be in Ibori's condition. These two people are his biggest headaches!

The only way APC is different from PDP is the fact that it is not PDP. I have not seen any reason to believe that APC is a genuine alternative to PDP and this claim that APC is better is not supported by the facts on ground!

I am disappointed with how politics works generally in Nigeria. A lot of what we do is very self defeating, ridiculous and pointless. This behavior cuts across the political divide and across regional lines.

We are talking about a man who to this day has not conceded defeat to have lost the last governorship election and still has an ongoing case in court challenging Peter Obi's re-election but meanwhile since then has contested for Senate and preparing to contest for Governor in 2013. If this is not desperation what does desperation look like?

We are talking of a mean who for 2 years in the Senate has not done much in terms of sponsoring bills, which makes me wonder whether the so called record he had in his short stint as Governor was so that he can drag the people into his personal fight with his estranged Godfather even though his so called wonderful record falls short of the basic duties of an average Governor!

It is therefore clear that they know nothing about Ngige's supposed "achievements" as (illegal) governor, let alone the objective merits of his candidacy. How Presidency stopped Soludo in APGA

The Presidency has been fingered in the disqualification of former Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) Governor, Chukwuma Soludo, to run for the Anambra State governorship election on November 16 by the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) screening panel.

Soludo had recently resigned his membership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) before casting his lot with APGA.

He had bought nomination form with the intention to contest the Anambra governorship election on APGA’s platform.

He was, however, not cleared for the race by a three-man committee that screened the aspirants at the party’s Abuja national headquarters on Friday.

His appeal against his disqualification was also dismissed by the appellate panel of the party on Saturday.

It was reported last week that the leadership of the PDP was plotting to stop Soludo from contesting the election on the platform of APGA.

The report had it that the leadership of the PDP was jolted by the entry of Soludo into APGA, which, it feared, would make the former CBN chief a candidate to beat in the election.

Daily Independent learnt that the former CBN boss was shot down from the governorship race by APGA following a ‘stop Soludo by all means’ order from the Presidency.

Dependable sources close to APGA told Daily Independent that the order not to allow him to contest the election came from the Presidency, first to Governor Peter Obi and later to the party’s National Chairman, Victor Umeh.

The source claimed that the Presidency was worried that if Soludo was allowed to contest the election, he may win, which, it was believed, will be an ill-wind for the President.

Daily Independent was told that the decision to stop Soludo was a hard one, as members of APGA screening committee could not find an easy way to do it.

A source close to the screening committee said, “It was real headache finding grounds on which to stop Soludo. Members of the screening committee were at a loss because they felt that it was a betrayal of the party’s chance to field a formidable candidate.

“But since the order was from the above, they eventually had to find whatever they could, to disallow Soludo. But I tell you, it was a nightmare for them.”

Daily Independent called Soludo’s GSM number several times to get his reaction to the story but he did not pick his calls.

His Media Assistant, Bonaventure Melah, who spoke to our correspondent, was rather evasive, saying he has not been briefed on any of the questions raised.
