Malaysia Ministers' and deputy ministers’ entertainment allowances will be slashed and their paid holidays limited to local and Asean destinations in a cost-cutting move.

Even the Prime Minister and his deputy will not be spared this new ruling, which takes effect on July 1.

The Prime Minister of Malaysia currently enjoys a monthly entertainment allowance of RM18,865 ($6000.00) while his deputy gets RM15,015 ($4900). Other ministers and deputy ministers are given RM12,320 ($4000) and RM6,000, ($1900) respectively.

Above is what a friend living in Malaysia sent me and I was wondering what is it we have that made our common house of rep. budget billions in entertainment whereas average nigerian lives on less than a dollar a day.
Malaysia is a country that I have studied and their rate of development baffles me, they have all that a modern soceity needs, they even manufacture their own helicopters and cars.

Am I getting something wrong, do we no longer have a labor organization that can talk?
I am about to give up hope in Nigeria.
