Last night, news broke that popular human right lawyer Mike Ozekhome SAN had been kidnapped by unknown persons as he travelled on the now notorious Ehor stretch of the Benin-Auchi motorway. And with the sad news now long confirmed by the Edo State Command of the Nigeria Police Force, there has been no indication of his where-about or that his driver who was seized with him.

I thought FG is winning kidnapping fight. Why would they keep hiding good people. I hope he is safe. FP pls

Its incredible that that case could be swept under the carpet so easily despite the obvious culpability of Kenny Martins. But then again, anything was possible in Obasanjo's Nigeria.

It was said at the time that Kenny Martins and Obasanjo were related in some way (possibly through marriage). If that is the case Lawyer Ozekhome was merely acting out a script and not necessarily getting a client out of a difficult situation. I hope he makes it out alive.
