Hitler and Stalin were fascists jo grin. Of course Socialism can be abused nau, abi no be us human beings again?! tongue

Iro ni. Mi o gba !
Stalin practised much of Socialism before the World wars. He saw the necessity to resort to a new face of Communism after taking on the reigns of Socialism from his masters of Lenin when he realized that that's what would guarantee him more hold on the Soviet government.
I dont think Stalin was involved in Fascism in his days.
......
Hitler on the other hand, i would agree used the pretext of Socialism to conceptualize "a form of" fascism. BUT, Hilter's governmental practice of Fascism wasnt PURE FASCISM unlike that of his Italian ally Mussolino whose propaganda was based on. What ill say Hitler only did was support Mussolino's Fascism, as Mussolino's Fascism gave MUCH room for his own pretext of a socialist government.

As for the issue of Denmark is better or Ameica is beter & bla bla, ok, sentiment aside, whose economies do u think are much more condusive for foreigners?

You are beginning to mix issues oh! And that claim that the British and American economies did better when Stalin was in power in Russia is not exactly true....R'ber Stalin's policies helped Russia to leap in bounds leading to massive industrialisation of the country. In fact, some people still argue that if not for Stalin Russia would not have become a world power, also remind me again when the depression was in America? Wasn't that the same period Stalin was in power? How could the American economy have fared better given the depression?

Despite the great Depression, was there any time that ever left the US out of power/influence in world politics then since then?..HELL NO ! ..Even to our best knowledge, times after the Depression were those the US even grow more stronger & stronger till date.

As for Stalin's era, can u please recall what ensued in Russia's life after the reign of Stalin !... You know now, what ended up in the dissolution of the USSR, when the Soviet government realized the HUGE amount of loss accumulated grin . Economic problems upon problems upon problems.......

if Stalin did well (to some extent) as u claimed, why would there have been the need for a new Soviet government been rebuilt by Gorrbachev?....at least Gorrbachev was also a leftist of his government ! grin

Yes!

ok let me try bursting a bubble;

If those coubtries u said guaranteed better living standards than US, France,UK,etc,
then why do the latter(US & likes) have the highest no of foreigners all over d world troop in their domains in multitudes? grin

Wrong statement! Why is Russia still a world power even after its balkanisation and economic problems!

Haba, naijababae, are u telling me a country with the highest military power (in terms of number, not quality) in the world wont have its place amongst world powers? undecided ....ITS SIMPLE. The Russia u see today is a world power not because of ANYTHING else but ONLY because of its military strenght !!
When the USSR broke up, more than 95% of its military capacity were transfered to present Russia , 'cos power resided in Moscow then. Even after the split, Russia held the most military power in the world.

Now compare the bull sh*it economy of Russia to its military. U can quote if im wrong, Russia's economy is one of the most unstable in Europe.....but see what im saying. Even in ordinary Europe, Russia is nowhere to be found amidst many giants there in terms of economy, but u wan try Russia for military?
.....
won o ni fe te now grin

...SO IN SUMMARY, RUSSIA IS A WORLD POWER ONLY BECAUSE OF ITS MIGHTY MILITARY.
..NO MORE, NO LESS !!!

Duh! Stalin shifted from Lenin's Socialist policies to full blown Communism

May i ask:

Even during Lenin's Socialist , wasnt France & Britain the leading European nations then, so much evident in their presence in d LEAGUE OF NATIONS THEN?
.....
Socialist USSR or not, UK & likes were still commanding much respect in the world more than it then ! tongue

Colonialism/Slavery! How many countries did the Nordic nations colonise or bought slaves from?

i dont think d US colonized one creature in history even after 1775 (when there were so many countries to take advantage of) !......and to the best of my & ur knowledge , that's the world largest economy ! tongue grin

League of Nations?! I laugh in Russian! The mandate of the league of nation was to keep the peace. Russia was at war with itself due to the civil war between Lenin's Bolsheviks and the Czarist forces. The Bolsheviks were gaining the upper hand and the league members didn't a non Czarist Russia as member. Russia couldn't have enforced its membership now?

No, but countless number of slaves ended up in the US, so much so that there was enough of them to form a country in Africa. Besides the US was once a former colony of the crown, so it was only natural that members of the colonies of the crown align with former colonies or the crown itself!

Save for Patrice Lumumba, it can be argued that the majority of former African leaders of thought who embraced pan-Africanism got the bug in the United States via the civil rights movement.

of course, i still meant France/Britain, etc's domination in Europe then AFTER Lenin took over.
ok, tell me, when Lenin took over through revolution from the Czarists rule , who were still the giants of Europe then?...werent Britain/France & likes major European players then?...
or what do u think spurred Germany to embark on war against them?
