papindinho: Being human being is a wonder, how we breath is a wonder and things happen are wonders and none of the unbelievers can be convinced about the existence of God for 'He guides those he is willing to guide and neglect those he wills'.

And I could see the reason behind Stuart Chase's thought that "for those who believe, no proof is necessary and for those who don't believe, NO PROOF IS POSSIBLE".

Steps to Find God Almighty:
1 Have Faith in God
2 Believe His will (that He has sent His only Son-Jesus Christ) John 3:16.
3 Believe His only Son and Jesus(God) will manifest Himself to you. John 14:21-23

NOTE: God can manifest Himself to whosoever ready to receive Him.

Atheist don't want to follow God's way(method) yet they want Him(God) to manifest Himself to them. Everything have its own protocol and method so also God.

He said without FAITH nobody can please Him and Jesus said whosoever love Him and keep His words He(God) will come unto him, and make their abode with him.

If you ask some ex-christians Atheist did you ever receive baptism of the Holyspirit during your christianity Llife---their answer will be NO! Though I can't blame them because even most pastors today there're not helping matter than to preach PROSPERITY rather than teaching the way of the Lord.

because once you accept that mysticism exists, where does it end? Witchcraft? Astrology? Faith healing?

So it looks like god has no alternative but to reveal itself to skeptics/atheists.

If it does not then that is its own problem.

And the more I've studied religion the more convinced I am that it is all just man-made.

Indeed the world has many wonderous things, but also in equal parts chaos, cruelty, injustice, and deformity. In any case these wonders are easily explainable in terms of science. I've also seen some pretty amazing things created by humans as well.

As to your second point, ".....NO PROOF IS POSSIBLE." Proof is possible; just have your god(s) reveal itself to all people in earth, including the atheists, scientists, and skeptics. Your god should do something which by any standard should be considered a miracle, and subject to rigorous scientific testing.

A god whispering in the ears of long-dead people who called themselves 'prophets' is not sufficient, and the alleged 'miracles' which were performed in front of uneducated, superstitious people do not meet any standard for truth by any measure I could accept.

While it is unquestionably arrogant and not completely true, I like Ernest Hemingway's quote: "All thinking men are atheists." It is not enough to say that a god creates people and then chooses who he guides, which then separates the believers from the unbelievers. Such a god is not worthy of worship.

Tell God, Allah or whatever God to make himself visible like at halftime during the American Superbowl to millions of people around the world or during halftime next year in Brazil during the world cup final.

Is something like that to much to ask for?

I didn't proclaim any god but God Almighty the maker of Heaven and Earth.
Nobody can do without FAITH.
Before you accept those scientific method you must put your faith on them.

That's why God said "without FAITH noone can please Him"

Then you're not ready to see God/expirence God's existence.
Beside it depends how you put your FAITH into work because "FAITH without WORK(works of thy hand) is dead"
Like scientist will never change their method for any reason so God can't change His way of Holiness because of Atheist/skeptics. Or as anybody will never change all the universal laws (except God) rather than to obey them.

God has revealed Himself to us through creations: Rom 1:19-21 "19 Because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them.
20 For the invisible things of Him(God) from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:
21 Because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened.

Though what you need is the physical manifestation of God which I've explained to you.

Then stop asking for the evidence of God's existence because He has shown you they way you can access Him.
