Psalm 1 As A Business Principle (4) by SonofIssachar: 6:23am On Sep 05, 2013
Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper. – Psalm 1:1-3

The blessed man delights in the law of God; and, in the context of our discourse in the past few days, a Psalm 1 businessperson is in business to please God among other things.

A Psalm 1 businessperson delights in knowing and following the counsel of God. Obeying God gives him/her much glee, as against indulging in practices that rankle against His grain in the name of doing business.

A Psalm 1 businessperson does not allow the trends of the time to sweep him/her into acting in contravention of divine will. And when there is a clash between obeying God and doing things the popular way, he/she would rather operate in tandem to divine precepts rather than doing what may be considered commercially expedient.

While a Psalm 1 businessperson is in business to make money, what really drives him/her is higher than financial returns and thoughts of personal gain. A Psalm 1 businessperson puts God at the centre of his/her consideration, and by so doing is wired up to serve humans beyond lip service, because pursuing the good of humanity is a direct offshoot of genuine love for God.

You will succeed in Jesus Name!
