if there is any artist that is making my head think and spin now on his lyrical content ,it is 9ice.His album is just simply great and much more,hes talented.My fear though is if he can and will be accepted by yoruba non-speaking community.Yeah Gongo-aso gat every part of naija and beyond lock down,but i feel its dance-able beat makes non yorubas forget its lyrical content in "a melodious hurry".Hes gat other great tracks like photocopy,kasa Final,pamurogo and most of this songs are laced with deep and thougt-provoking youruba lines that an average Yoruba guy wldnt even understand,let alone the other part of naija, But 9ice is a great composer.

D'banj, hmn, hmn.hmn, yeah hes Ok, but his songs are rather superficial for me.But his energy stands him out.Moreso,i still dnt like what he did anchoring SMVA award,personally i think he was damn too restless.

for me it has to be dbanj cos i think since 2004 he has been hitting us with mo hits,from tongolo to mobolowowon to tongolo the remix to rundown to why me to move your body to bootycall to pere to mogbona feli feli,for me i think he is great and he has over 35 awards,for christ sake the dude has got the charisma on stage and sure has a nice dress sense,for 9ice he is lyrically good but maybe if he releases another hit after gongo aso then he will earn my respect,any aw big ups to both of them but i wud still pick DBANJ THE KOKOMASTER NO LONG THING

I am not yoruba, am igbo that understands yoruba lang. I try to listen to 9ice's lyris and it makes sense more than thats of Dbanj but the best artist in general to me is DBANJ!!!

I just don't knw y i dislike 9ice's songs. Fine,he is a talented guy, but i don't really feel his kind of music, i managed to like ''party rider'' because my boyfriend encouraged me to. Even tho D'banj sings ''jargons'' as 'MUSTAY' puts it, i prefer him to 9ice. NO LONG THING.

i like 9ice, but i Dbanj is a good artist. he has been consistent. So far Nice has only had only One hit song GONGO ASO! but right now, i would say d'Banj! No comparisons, Gongo ti So, but No Long thing!

Who is D'banj I don't care if 9ice released his song yesterday. 9ice is tha bomb! With hit tracks like Little Money, Ganja Man, Gongo Aso, Party Rider, Photocopy, etc 9ice is much much better. I don't even need his full album, those highlighted songs are better than 10 albums of trash from D'banj. 9ice is deep, he's got a message. He does stuff that sages like Obey & KSA do. D'banj has so far impressed me with only one track so far - Mobolowowon ^{*how I wish he could do more of such stuff*}.

when it comes to true and meaningful lyrics/music, i have to give it to 9ice, some of the lyrics that d'banj comes up with i sometimes see as pathetic and embarassing, plus his constant use of all the 'koko/kokolet' nonsense has become stale beyond belief in my opinion, he needs to give it a rest, not saying that he does not have some decent music, i just prefer 9ice

9ice is icing the moment, he has great lyrics that are rather too difficult for the average yoruba folk to understand. Actually, the lyrics holds a lot of wisdom in it compounded with the great beats, this makes him wow!!! Well, This makes me wonder where beautiful nubia is now, he's so much like 9ice with their wonderful yoruba lyrics and beats, but beautiful nubia has failed to stand the test of time.

As for D'banj, he still Rox and with his trend, he will continue to rock the Nigeria music industry for a good time!!! Almost every dance party plays his song along side with 9ices'. Well both artist are unique and are no copy-cats, there styles are distinct to them.

D'banj is creative as he innovates new slangs, such as cocolette, koboko, file e.t.c Though most of them have raw charismatic bearing meanings, but he passes a message across that we understand better than 9ices' wise lyrics.

We should be proud of both artists, they are good in there different ways,

While D'banj is more of the shake ur body kind of artiste and is mostly concerned with songs dat makes d listeners want to dance as soon as dey hear it, 9ice is a gr8 lyricist with his yoruba literature and proverbs, d listners are left wantin 2 figure out what he's talkin about. also he can rock u on d dance floor when it matters. it's good seeing these nu naija artistes ( 9ice, D'banj, Ikechukwu, Naeto, Asa, Wande, Mode 9, Eldee & d host of odaz) takin d industry 2 anoda level. won gbona feli feli & i believe 'em die,
