i tried connecting to the internet using my celtel , but i got the error message ' subscribe to pack data'. what do i do? How do i get the packet data?

@poster.When i read your post i just chuckle.It simply means that your sim is not activated for browsing.And you can't activate it for now till further notice ok.

@HC: Actually, Celtel will activate/provision your line for packet data (GPRS/EDGE), but on only one condition: that you go to any of their centres with your SIM in your phone. You'll be browsing within 24 hours.

Yep, honsule don talk am, thats nokia's error message if your phone isnt GPRS activated or not available, even though u got correct configuration

Is Celtel gprs the cheapest we have in Nigeria @ N5 per 50 kilobyte = 10k per kilobyte?

I checked the website of Visafone and noticed that they 55k per kilobyte

Does anyone here know the amount other gprs service providers charge per kilobyte?

honsule- i can browse with my phone via GPRS, but can't connect to my PC. I use a Nokia 3110c.

if you are using nokia pc suite then your problem is that you did not put the settings, go to pc suite, click connect to internet, click on settings, then choose manual then u put ur APN, Username, Password, then click on next and that's all.
