Nigeria imigration service is asking for money for recruitment. Is this not corruption. Calculate about 80 million applicants nationwide multiplied by 1000 naira. The answer is 80 billion naira. Nigeria Immigration, my foot.

I don't think it is a fraud.Some of us paid 2500naira during navy dssc.The same thing for airforce dssc.U can confirm this in navy and airforce thread.

Calculate about 80 million jobless youths in Nigeria multiplied by 1000 naira only and ask your self questions. At the end of the day, very few would be employed. I weep for this country. The Nigerian population was about 170 million by 2012. More than half of the population are jobless. Those who have job still want federal government job and would still apply. So, the 80 million I stated was even an understatement.

I don't know where u got your statistics of 80Million from oh! From the Demography link of Nigeria u posted (Source: Wikipeadia), The Total Population of Nigerians between the ages of (14 - 64) years is 46753837. And a great percentage of this population are not even elligible Work force and another percentage of d population is gainfully employed. The exact number from this 47million who are unemployed was not stated and that I am not sure.
However, I must agree with you that Nigerian Government is using fraudulent means to extort the masses. I see no reason why Government Parastatals (Navy, Airforce, Army, Immigration, state civil services e.t.c) will request for money during recruitment when they even supposed to be paying unemployed youths unemployment benefits.
