Burger01: 2Pac, legend of the legends. 'What you won't do.... do for love'... I learnt a lot from that.
sad
That was my first ever track I learnt to rap from begining to the end without missing a beat. sad

What can I say than to wish our legendary tupac to rest in peace and not in pieces. A legend (Amaru Tupac Shakur) lives on.

My favourite tracks: Changes, Hit em Off, Until the end of Time, Ghetto Gospel, Thug Mansion, Letter to my Unborn Son, My Blocks, Pac's Life, Life goes on, Califonia Love, killuminati...finding it hard to pick one as I'l keep on listing all his tracks.

This guy is the Don of Rap Music. Whoever. Compares him to Biggie is nofin but a learner.

I probably started smoking weed and drinking henny XQ because of Tupac but he definitely did help me become who I'm today. All those mad crazy hard times, running between sanity and insanity - his music provided all the succour I needed.

You have to be highly conscious and intelligent to understand his lyrics and he made music for everyone. There's also a Tupac tune for whatever situation in your life - that was how real tupac was. He gave us his life via his music and everyone can relate to him.

Tupac was like hiphop's Jesus - R.I.P the great one!

T.I
Meek mill
Drake

C'mon they are alotta them! If 2pac was still alive he would have been rappping what these rappers be rapping! *modern tinz*
I have to disagree with you. Tupac would have kept to his style as he never gave a hoot about the grammies during his life time.

nice thread brother. It actually touched me that 17years later he's so relevant and important to generate 6pages on nairaland. Which other artist can? I doubt if a thread about Michael Jackson can get 3 pages on nairaland.

.....pour out a little liquour.

Legend extraordinaire, poet, revolutionary infact the next best thing after Martin Luther King Jnr, Malcolm X and Marcus Garvey. Lesane Parish Crooks(widely known as Tupac(2pac) Amaru Shakur still lives in his music cos they never fade. I have chosen the following:

Who do you believe in

Unconditional Love

Changes

Trapped

Ain't Mad at cha

Letter to my unborn child

Baby don't cry

Worldwide ft Outlawz

Carlifornia Love ft Dr Dre

Hail Mary

Black Jesus

infact the list is endless......

In the event of my Demise
when my Heart can beat no more
I Hope I Die For A Principle
or A Belief that I had Lived for
I will die Before My Time
Because I feel the Shadow's Depth
so much I wanted to accomplish
before I reached my Death

I have come to grips with the possibility
and wiped the last tear from My eyes
I Loved All who were Positive
In the event of my Demise...

He's not over-rated. He's by far better dan Biggie. He's has many more hit songs numerically & percentage-wise, he's more poetic, more lyrically sound, charismatic, masculine, handsome, philosophical & inspiring dan Biggie.

In my opinion, Biggie is only more dan him in terms of size.

I love d two songs he did with his late homeboy stretch......

1) 'pain'(Above the rim soundtrack) and
2) 'House of pain' feat biggie and stretch..........dooooope aaaazs joints

If stretch had not died @ a much younger age.....he would av been a real competition for 'pac lyricly, poetically.......!

........Me against d world and R u still down remains my fav 2pac albums cos both of em were recorded about d same tyme n both albums are kinda similar production/content wise.... .
