Here we go, this thread is for the new gionee p2 that runs on latest android 4.2.2, 512mb Ram and 4gb ROM. Rooting without pc Use framaroot apk you can download it here http://ng.szawwy Rooting process REQUIREMENTS 1-working brain(if you can count 1-10 it means you have it) 2-a working internet connection (on pc or your p2 3-a computer(laptop or desktop) 4-Rooting tool plus drivers. links 1usb drivers: http://pdanet.co/bin/PdaNetA4126.exe 2Motochopper(root tool): http://vulnfactory.org/public/motochopper.zip root steps *enable usb debugging in developer mode* 1. Just suggesting! This is a specialist thread...rooting can be very intimidating to a lot of users, so I fully appreciate @directonpc creating this thread. Those who are keen to root their P2's,or help others do it, will eventually find their way here, or to an equivalent thread, if any. The other thread is started as one to introduce the phone. It's now become even more so, with most admirers more focused on mundane things. These include repetitive "where & how much can I buy it?" "Is it a 3g phone?" "Is the battery removable?" "Which color is better?" All clearly non-technical questions. I can't imagine how rapidly out-of-place and subsumed this technical topic would have become within that other general intro thread. Ehn let me add on what my oga at the top said. Please don't enable mass storage after you connct the phone to d pc. And also if the process hang on the command prompt Window press the power key on your device, then it should continue. Best of luck. I'm talking out of experience. You can always pick it up, if you want 1gb ram. You can't pay 15k for a phone and expect the specifications of 35k phones. Gionee has done enough by giving us 1.2ghz dual core, 4gb ROM and crystal clear display. Asking for more at that price is tantamount to robbery. 2 Likes |
