I tend to wonder why children of Pastors turn out bad, despite how revered their parent (s) may be in the church. So many instances of a pastors child either smoking weed, or found in a club rocking or indulging in bad things. I wonder why they don't see 'spiritual vision' in what their own children are doing at their backs. Could there be more to it? Please share your thoughts!!

Probably because they get to see the other side of their parents, the not so righteous sides. And kids being naturally greatly influenced by their parents will be influenced by their hypocritical acts and will use these acts to justify their actions. For example, one could say "well if my father, who is a pastor, could do that, then why can't I do this".

It is hereditery.....

It is because pastor get caught up 'ministering' to the congregation that they forget their home front. For instance, they forget to pray for their kids but only pray with them during devotions. Meanwhile, they will pray for others. Some of them don't even play with their children and these children will silently rebel. They are unfriendly to them and don't correct them in love but they are all smiles on the pulpit. Unlike the Father of faith, Abraham whom God commended for teaching his kids in the way of the Lord.

Mt 7:18 A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit.

These men are either Bad, or Corrupt its essentially two categories. Bad pastors are actually nsaved, unrepentant conmen who decieve careless christians. Their children see through the farse and tend to take extreme stands from their parents. They will rather be openly bad than lying bad men. Its usually evident when these children cannot be tamed. They have keys to blackamil their folks. a pastors child once told me "dont mind my dad, that car he says belong to my mum is his own"

Corrupt Pastors on the Other hand cannot substantiate what they preach with the life they live. You preach holiness, but your kids see the manipulations for p[ower and money. You preach patience and the fruit of the spirit, but the kids see you malice and avarice they come to conclude that this message is not complete, and require additions. I have heard a pastor declare his kids must be branded "omo baba olowo" before he dies. His son is a truant.

The third group are the rebelious children and its often an anomaly that is readily corrected with prayer and understanding of the scripture A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. This anomally is readily reversible

As a minister are your kids bad? first repent to be able to have the moral right to correct their disobedience

2Co 10:6 And having in a readiness to revenge all disobedience, when your obedience is fulfilled
