They are two different things. Oven baking is a process of subjecting freshly primered or painted car shell (usually during the manufacturing of such cars) to high temperature and/or pressure usually in a special oven for a period of time which is then left to cool down in order to make the primer form a hard layer on the bodyshell and to better allow paints adhere to the body shell of the said car, or to make the paint dry (in the case of paint baking). Its a very specialized and technical process which requires special skills and equipment to carry out and its quite expenisve.

Car waxing on the other hand is a process of using a special fluids, creams, polish or gel like chemicals specially recommended for car paints. with a soft cloth or foam to rub on the body of a car. This is done to achieve a sparkling shine, protect the car paints from fading or damaging effects of various elements such as sun, rain, atmospheric gases and other chemicals, salts, rusts etc. Its a simple process which only requires you to follow instructions of your car manual and also find the right products specified in the manual how its applied to bring a desired result.

Thank you lomomike for this very erudite reply of yours I just bought a car and tot I should give it a touch of spray until somebody chipped in that all d car needed was waxing an polishing which I never heard of. My question now is where and who are these car waxer and polisher? Are they in the car wash and also can I find them in every car wash or they are specialised car wash? Thank you.

you can get it in most auto shop where spare parts are sold or in filling stations. But before you purchase it, please read your car owners manual for guide. Also ensure you are purchasing genuine products
