I just came across a phone labelled gionee m1 and m2, wonder if it is truly gionee, as you know in naija anything is possible. The m1 looks nice & it runs on android 4.2, dual sim, 1.2GHz dual core and 1gb RAM. The price is 25,500 at the store here in Akwa Ibom. Although I didn't see the m2 but is there in there price list & that one goes for 33000k. I'm just kind of suspicious cos I've not really heard of that models before. Guys are you aware of these?

Well, this is not gionee site & moreover no mention of the specifications in that link. Its just a third party application site. It does not prove anything.

the gionee m1 I saw was wit a 4.65 inch screen,3000mah ba3 runin on andriod 4.1 and avin 0.3mp front cam nd 5mp rear cam nd it sells for #22000

I got Gionee M1 @ Omegatron in Benin last week.
It has 512MB ram n d Os is 4.1.2 not 1GB ram n Os 4.2 as claimed. Anyway d fone is cool but there's no H+ or 3.75g network, jus H, so its a bit slow, imo. My final disappointment, no OTA, as dis was my reason for buying it. Other than these, Gionee M1 is cool!
