Sadly enough, the morally bankrupt and incompetent losers budget funds for these facilities every year. In fact, this particular National infrastructure is so fvukeddd up that they rent out portions of this stadium for beer pallor, boutiques and other rubbish while the folks in charge look the other way unconcerned.

Last year, Lagos state hosted the National sports festival and not a single part of the event was hosted at this facility, in fact, our National team is still homeless, they don't have any home stadium and this is why some international soccer teams dodge any kind of engagement in Nigeria.

The so called giant of Africa without a functioning National stadium....

What a cruel shame..

If d federal govt does not want this edifice they should sell it to lagos state goverment or private individual. That stadium is on prime land which can be developed into an exclusive housing estate with all d mod coms.

Someone collects "parking fees" for every vehicle that goes through the gates of the staduim daily( last I was there twas 200N). Rents are collected monthly from those doing business within the stadium. Gate fees are collected. They rent out the stadium to pastors and musicians at exorbitant prices too.

So,who takes all the money? State or FG

sanandreas: fashola is working.

You mean we should blame Fashola for the poor condition of Nigeria's NATIONAL stadium.

This is Teslim Balogun stadium that belongs to Lagos state government, which Fashola has maintained well.

So Fashola should be responsible for national stadium maintenance while GEJ should be unleashing fresh smell to the nation. Check Teslim Balogun stadium where the confederation cup was played & u 'll see for ur self that Fashola is really working.

It's a national stadium which the management is the responsibility of the federal government. Except they have handed it over to Lagos state government or a private firm to manage.

Fashola has no authority on the national stadium in Lagos, so all the blame still goes to GEJ.

Bad government ,ignorant people.
A friend of mine visited nigeria recently and remarked that the country had hardly moved an inch.
Apart from Lagos where there is a marked improvement .
He also commented on his visit to Togo ,ghana and gambia especially on the orderliness and the state of critical infrastructure .
These are poor countries but the things that matter like this stadium work .

They should simply pull it down...no amount of cosmetic renovation will work.

Since the stadium belongs to the FG, then all levies and gate fees go to them. Besides, why should the stadium be used mainly for religious purposes and music concerts ? No wonder the FG is reluctant to renovate it. smh

Did you read well at all? Every NATIONAL heritage and properties are in the exclusive care of the Federal government, unless otherwise indicated. Lagos was a former capital of Nigeria and the national stadium there, was where importance state functions were held. It is the federal government that are supposed to cater for it!

GEJ is busy fighting Ameachi and Atiku instead of doing his job.

Lagos will not forget his failure to pay attention to our region in 2015.

Yes Fashola is working and obviously your brain is not

The stadium belongs to the FG

Check out all stadia owned and maintained by LASG, from the Teslim Balogun Satdium to the Agege Stadium. They are all in great shape
