Members of the Nigerian Governors’ Forum have called on the Minister of Finance, who is also the Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, to resign her appointment if she knew she would not be able to adhere strictly with the Appropriation Act 2013.

They said the non-compliance with the revenue projections of the Federal Government 2013 Budget was also a direct breach of the provisions of the Appropriation Act, 2013.

These decisions were part of the resolutions of the Governor Rotimi Amaechi-led NGF, which met in Abuja on Tuesday evening.

States which were represented by their governors at the meeting were those of Rivers, Niger, Kwara, Osun, Ekiti, Ogun, Adamawa, Oyo, Lagos, Sokoto, Jigawa, Kano and Zamfara while deputy governors of Edo, Borno and Nasarawa states represented their governors.

The governors also called for the immediate dissolution of the Economic Management Team.

Is Nigeria's Governors Forum an opposition party or Parallel Federal Government now?

I really think Amaechi should be deleted to save this country.

What debate? A useless man that refuses to focus on his job. The only thing he has been doing so far is running around fighting every politician he can think of like an agbero. Mtcheww. The behavior of that man is nothing but a disgrace and gradually his political career is going down the drain because of it. He is hated in his own region, hated in his own state (excluding his people), even the DPO of his own state had the balls to disrespect him (the governor of the state) and instead of the 1diot to try and save the little degree of strength he has in his political career, all his been doing is creating more problem for himself. Thank you but I rather not debate the act of a shameless man.

you see why i said you should keep off this debate because the cracks in your understanding of it will become glaring.

Firstly, ameachi has not abandoned his responsibilities as governor despite all he is going through. I was surprised to see him lastv week in old port harcourt township inspectng the new intergrated cultural center under construction and some roads, what about your president who went nigerian children are languishing at home, he is busy calming nerves in his party so he can be president again 2015. How many meeting has he held with ASUU? How many meetings has he held with PDP governor, party leaders, etc..get the figures and know where his priorities lie.

Secondly the head of police in rivers state and every state is a commissioner, not DPO, and the reason he is disrespecting the governor is because he is a tool of the president. Even the strongest jonathan supporter here can attest to that fact.

That a fierce snake is sleeping does not mean it has lost the power to bite if rudely. Amaechi is now the governor-general of Nigeria, while GEJ is the President.
Is this not the same Amaechi that hinges his quarrel with the Presidency on the fact that the first lady was trying to interfere in the governance of his state? Does he think GEJ has powers to sack him the way he sacked Obiakpor L.G chairman?

I don't live in Nigeria so anything political about the nation does not impact me but NOI have contributed to the development of my state. Thanks to her, the nation you live in paid off most of its debt. It was she that suggested to publish each state's monthly financial allocation from the federal government in an effort to increase transparency of government. It was she that suggested to remove the fuel subsidy scam that you all threw a temper tantrum over until some Hausa guy gave one a breakdown of how beneficial the suggestion was. She equally suggested a budget that would improve the unemployment rate of your nation.

Mtcheww. Rubbish.

Anyone that the thug parading as a governor fights is immediately named "GEJ's tool". SMH. Tell Amaechi to look deep inside himself and ask himself why he's constantly in the news for thug-like behavior; ask himself why he is constantly fighting not 1 person but multiple people. Why his popularity in his region is reducing as the day goes by. Rather than you all to accept his shameless behavior and advice him accordingly, you all resort to the usual blame GEJ tatics.

Like I said earlier, go back to that man and inform him that he is a governor, not some street thug.

What's the condition of service for being a GEJ lap dog on nairaland?
And how many lap dogs work on each shift?
Meanwhile even though I commend GEJ for this development, by the way its another way of removing our unemployed youths from the street, I will also advocate more proper training on being Good attack dogs, at least we could also register our name on the Guinness book of record as the first country with highest and best lap dogs for the President in the world. SURE-P is working, GEJ's Administration is on course, A BREATH OF FRESH AIR indeed.

you are saying bigger rubbish! Ameachi has had three police commissioners as givernor. Non has fought him, there are 35 commissioners of police in nigeria except rivers. Non are fighting their governors. For this man to be fighting ameachi. Does it not show he has federal support. He closes down ameachi's new offices but wike's grassroot support movement office populated by thugs are not touched. How stupid do you have to be not to see this or are you just in denial. Ask your president was he can't govern his party. Why is he always fighting governors and other members of his party. If a man can't lead his party, how can he lead a nation. PDP is a mess, the country is a mess, and we're suppose to have a leader? Rather than you to point out this amatuerish way of leadership and thiuggish greed to hold on to power in 2015 you support him blindly.

Likewise. I advise you to talk to your president and tell him he suppose to lead. Not to hunt governors who oppose him, Shred the constitution, abandon a nation in disarray to chase a 2015 agenda. Once again. How many meeting has the president of nigeria held with ASUU so the youths of his country can return to school? How many meetings has the president of nigeria held with PDP governors and factional members to preserve his 2015 ambitions? Make the distiction and how the let's see what moral guts you have to reply me.
