because men treat them like princesses and looks are highly valued in our society . From a young age they are admired and so they are programmed to think highly of themselves. If you want this to stop then just address a woman normally and not like she lays golden eggs.

ur family wants u to be a virtuous daughter and bring home d biggest fish in d pond ur bf xpcts u to put out(and be freak @ it) while still wanting u to form classy lady for everyone around.Society xpects u to be a perfect mom and wife , ur kids want u to be a hot/cool mom dey can showoff to dier friends while ur husband wants u to be MRs Prayerwarrior so dat he can point and say my wife is "faithful" and Godfearing while he is probably neither of d above.

Op, women are the weaker sex and so they are naturally self protective.

Even a lady whom you have been with for 2 years will still value herself far above what both of you share. But the degree varies from grl to girl..

There are some girls you would go out with and buy suya like N500 for both of you to take. She will just tell you thank you and carry it and hide inside her bag. Thats the kind of thing Op is asking about. But move away from the very selfish ones. My 2cents....

I so hate polarizing issues on the basis of gender where it isn't applicable. OP, abeg both men and women are selfish at one time or the other. If humans weren't innately selfish, we wouldn't need money to satisfy our wants. In fact, given male dominance especially in the past, it's safe to say men are more selfish, if one must polarize.

A more sociable person is less selfish. male or female.
