Job Title :Welding/Fabrication Supervisor

Business Objective: To supervise the welding and fabrication of equipment at the company’s workshop ensuring high quality and HSE Standards.

Core Working Relationships: Mechanical Engineer, Workshop Supervisor, Workshop Manager Welders, Project Manager and Managing Director

Accountabilities (Responsibilities)
Supervision of welders
Responsibility for Health Safety and Environment at the workshop (along with the Workshop Supervisor)
Responsibility for the Quality of work at the workshop
Working with welders to learn proper welding techniques in MIG, TIG and Stick welding of various steel structures and process skids.
Supervising fabrication and welding work at the workshop,
Carrying out inspection of welds, dimensions checks and other quality checks to ensure quality,
Supervising and training junior welders
Read/Interpret drawings and blue prints.
Take responsibility for the safety and security of tools and equipment in the workshop.
Carry out equipment assembly and installation, both at site and in the workshop.
Operate the Forklift, Guillotine Shear, Brake press, Sheet roller, Drills, Grinders, Saws and other fabrication tools.
Develop and maintain the company’s Welding Procedure Specifications.

Requirements
Must be able to read/interpret drawings and blue prints.
3-5 years Welding/Fabrication and Installation experience with MIG, TIG and Stick processes.
Knowledge of Forklift operation
Experience using Guillotine Shear, Brake press, Sheet Rolls, Drills, Grinders, Saws etc.
HSE Knowledge is VITAL.
Experience in mechanical equipment installation is an advantage.
Experience in workshop management is required.
Diploma in an engineering discipline will be an advantage.
Experience with various welding machines is expected
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously along with other team members
