can someone pls EXPLAIN the meaning of CHRISTMAS and 25th DECEMBER, cos av never come accross that date in the BIBLE in my life, and yet it's being celebrated all over the world.
Av asked so many christains, and they say it's a date set aside 2 celebrate the birth of JESUS christ, which i find very contradicting to a particular verse of REVELATIONS(cant remember ryt now).
Also wat is it with picture of ROBERT POWELL&JAMES CAVIZELL being hung on walls of most christain homes, is dat not also contradicting THE 2ND COMMANDMENT.
Wat's wrong wit most of these so called pastors.

All the pictures of 'Jesus'amaze me o.All I see is a Hollywood star or an effeminate-looking man.They are all artists' renditions of a Caucasian(bias of the artists).Blond,blue-eyed Jesus from Nazareth Abegi,joo!If any artwork should be done,He should be made to look like the Pakistanis, Isrealis,Palestinians with a dark skin colour and rugged-looking face.Besides,why do an artwork of Him,if at all the people who saw Him could draw and paint? Wrong time of the year guys. Now we should be celebrating the feast of St. John the Baptist who was born 6 months before jesus. In other words the summer's solstice. Officially 24th of June but actually due to precession it is now the 21st.
Same celebration, bonfires, Trees, dipping in water etc. Christmas is the birth of the sun and St. John's is when the sun is at the pinnacle.

As for his solsticial birthday, the Roman Catholic Church celebrates the Nativity of John the Baptist (June 24) as a Solemnity, which is the highest degree a liturgical feast can have. It is even one of the few saint's feasts that is celebrated even when it falls on a Sunday; typically the feast of a saint is superseded when it falls on a Sunday. There is hardly any way that the feast of St John the Baptist could be given more emphasis in the liturgical calendar.

ROBERT POWELL is the guy that acted JESUS of NAZARETH, the poupalr JESUS' story on TV and JAMES CAVIZELL acted the role of JESUS christ in PASSION OF THE CHRIST.
How come people are puttng those guys' picture on their wall calling them JESUS, That means i can act the role of JESUS in any film and put my pix on my wall and start calling myself JESUS or GOD.
