Ebonyi state hold' Local Governments Elections today...Let's have your report....

All i see everywhere is PDP posters since inceptions of the campaign. At Afikpo North, the state governor emphatically imposed the serving chairman on the people, no challeng from any other party. In such case, he need not campaign or defend any manifesto. He is already a winner before today (election day).

Let those with any report drop it here. MOD...FP for better response.

Ezza south LGA chairman for instance celebrated his "none oppose" two months ago before this election.

Same with other areas of the state, the truth is that the state is running a one party system which means if ur not in the wining party you are. automatically out.

Accreditation has stop by 12pm and normal voting were in process.

I'm here live in the state capital Abakaliki and watching how security personal were harassing ppl moving about the streets.

In fact,They just stop ppl from going out of their normal businesses knowing fully well their already political maneuvering.

I weep for my state (Ebonyi), the state still has no vissionary leader. No body id challenging what is currently going on. Mediocrity at zenith. The state has many natural resources yet untapped, but their only focuss is to share their Federal Allocations. Politics happens to be the only working industry/company in Ebonyi state. How can good leadership emerge when election turns "favourit selection", only those who belong to their crew win. The worst of it is that, they don't present reliable candidates. Once you can pull trigger, sail in thugry, you are just qualified for the oil. Afikpo with the highest level of educated folks should set the pace. The old man we have as governor should try to leave a legacy. God help Ebonyi.

Voting took place last night. Why are you bordering yourself? It is like that every where in Nigeria,so Ebonyi is not exepted!

@op you are right to an extend,but same thing is applicable to the whole country.So,you shouldn't narrow it down to Ebonyi state alone.
Yes,so many of the candidates were already hand-picked by their godfathers before this election just like any other elections/selections elsewhere but there's still other strong contenders from other parties like APUGA,AC and the rest...so some strong oppositions might still win the election.

I think you are not closer to some developmental stride going on in the state which are to numerous to mention ..Mind you I'm not in anywhere near govt contract or being an opportunist to those in power but I tell the truth whenever I see one.

Each time there is a new from the state you ppl hardly contribute anything that's why this ur post didnot see the light of the day.
Let put it you that, you guys from the southern part of the state are too proud to be indenfied with the state. Most of you are denying of being an Ebonyians.
My prayer is that "anyone who deny his state both in good or in bad terms will not rip the benefit of the state"

Are opposition parties even active in Ebonyi. It seems Ebonyi is one of the last states that PDP will lose in. They have a very strong grip of that state.
