Hello guys, this topic has been in my head for a while and I feel the need to scribble something down.
Note: It is random, so it may not be so organized.

Black has been related with evil, darkness, and inferiority. White on the order hand is a direct opposite. No matter how hard we try, no matter what form of revolution we try to adopt, we are still blacks.

1. I am in no way inferior to any man. But tell me why a white man smokes right in front of someone's face and he can't say a word but if it were a black man, eye brows will be raised. I see this at work everyday. Infact the black guy that smokes hides in the toilet to do it.

2. Black abuse power a lot. History has shown us men who abused power. From Pharaoh to Presidents, etc. But that was because they had subjects. Tell me why a black man will be scared of his boss? Black bosses are seen as gods. Their employees dread them. My white boss doesn't give a Bleep if I greet him(sorry about the language). Infact I started greeting him of recent because he pisses me off. Try that with a black and you are in the black book.

3. From dressing to language to virtually everything, we are slowly losing our originality. That reminds me I was in a bus with a funny black dude trying to speak like a white. Truth be told, white men speak pidgin, they want to speak pidgin. I have heard a dozen do it. So why must we always copy? From our leaders not being able to talk actions by themselves to our young ones who now know all the kinds of phones there are. Would you call it advancement or the black mind in play.

4. Travel abroad you will see that blacks are discriminated. Let a white kid be in a Nigerian school and they are treated like gods.

5. Wh must the white standard be a yardstick for everything. I am not a fan of Nollywood(except their village/diabolic movies) but why must Hollywood be compared with Nollywood? Why must our start ups in terms of technology be compared with theirs?

I can go on and on. What is the way forward?

It is sad, but that is just the truth. The whites brought their way of life to us and we are all in a hurry to forget ours. May God deliver Africa!

I do too, but I think what he is trying to say is how black people in general act, whether they are African, African American or Afro Caribbean. Everything he said is true. If a black person goes to a predominately white country like United States or England they are treated like crap often worse than animals (they are treated like objects). However if a white person goes to an African nation like Nigeria, Mali, Niger, Benin, Ghana, Togo, etc. (I can't speak for Caribbean countries that are mainly black, maybe Kails/MsDarkSkin has more insight on that) they are treated like royalty.

OH YEAH!
We have plenty of coonish grin ppl in the caribbean bro, no doubt. Especially the ones who call themselves being in the "higher classes". They will buck dance for foreigners in a heartbeat tongue. Naturally we have some black folks in the caribbean who are as anti-white/western as they come but we definitely have a good portion of people in the caribbean who have race/color issues (esp. in the Dominican Republic undecided).

LOL the "high-class" types are just coconuts who wish they were white and have the lowest of all self-esteems. I am not against white people being treated well in Africa, but black people should receive the same treatment from white people that blacks give them in predominately black countries. However, I do not seeing that happen.

EXACTLY! cool
I agree with you 100 percent!

It goes back to history though and you know black people are tribal. It's a beautiful thing because our tribal ways is what made us so diverse in the first place but in today's world due to the fact that we spend so much time trying to out do each other and trying to run competition against each other, we are not unified like the other races are. They see that, the know that and use it to their advantage. Black people are the most studied people on the planet - TRUST ME! It's evident in how EVERY RACE on this planet benefit from our exploitation.

But unfortunately we are a race of hard-headed people. We don't seem to learn from our pasts which is sad.

Maybe it's supposed to be that way or maybe one day it'll all get better? *shrugs*

I have met black folks who abhorly dislike the term first black president because Obama isn't 100% black.

I do not expect black folks to think or agree alike but I do expect black folks to get tired of being on the bottom of the totem pole.

I agree with some of what you say bought not every black is like that though majority is . But have you ever wondered where'll be if they never came to us.

Please tell me your reaction to someone who has a lower form of civility in them ? repugnant init ? because you feel more enlightened because of what the white men has brought to you.

This case can be argued till death if it goes on because we can't rewrite history.
This is what i think at times, before they came, we worshiped all sorts of gods with conviction. Then they came and and brought the bible and said to us we where worshiping the wrong way, what made it wrong because our forefathers doubted if they where really worshiping the Supreme God in their ways then they adopted what they brought with stronger conviction, i just cant understand when they say those who don't accept Christ is on the righteous side of hell. what about those who weren't alive to witness his days ?

Some times when i watch documentaries on tribes in Africa and i see the Massai tribe of Kenya/Tanzania and how they continue to hold on to their culture despite the amount of civilization that has circulated i just feel blessed that we were colonized and on the other hand i feel bad that most of our originality is not what it use to be. But mostly i thank God that at least i am more enlightened than they are, the most important thing is if they feel that way to. In some years to come you see some of our culture has to be extinct and things will get more worse.than it is presently because almost nothing can be done about it, the trick to that is to not care that it will go worse.

All in all i have come to understand that it was in the white race that have made more use of their brains because of what they have been able to with inventions, am not saying we blacks don't gat the noggins ooh, but there's no way you is going to view it you will end up thanking colonization.

Change!

Some of the things you say out of being brainwashed "Some times when i watch documentaries on tribes in Africa and i see the Massai tribe of Kenya/Tanzania and how they continue to hold on to their culture despite the amount of civilization that has circulated i just feel blessed that we were colonized" That is an inferiority complex basically implying that Western culture is superior to an African culture. From what I can gather, you are a Christian/Follower of Christ. I am not, but I would like to shed some light on this situation.

Did God not say that we are all equal no matter our backgrounds? Let us say your religion is correct (this is a large assumption), why is it good for you to imitate and behave like a white man because you are practising a foreign religion. Masai are being themselves without conviction, don't forget Kenya and Tanzania (the countries with the highest Masai population) were also colonized by the Britons. Nomadic groups were less affected by colonization. Being from a nomadic group myself I can see this because a lot of what we practise is what we practised 5000 years ago. A Nuer today is like a Nuer millenia ago, a Pullo Bodaddo is like a Pullo Boddado millenia ago, a Masai is like a Masai millenia ago and so on. You can not say that just because you practise a non-African religion that you are all of a sudden enlightened. Enlightenment goes further and much deeper than that.

There are Masai with more heart out there than those who practise Monotheistic religions (Islam, Christianity, Judaism). The only thing colonisation has caused is inferiority complex amongst a lot of African people who think that their ways are savage and backward. What kind of world would we live in if everyone was the same? please think of that.
Re: The Black Mind by INDESTRUCTABLEX(m): 6:12pm On Oct 09, 2013
I think we feel inferior. We are made or rather compelled to feel inferior from the onset. The issue is from the very top down to the least of us.
For instance, on a Tuesday morning while in school I wore a native cloth to attend lectures. First thing my room mate says is "why are you dressing like our lecturers and fathers at home who don't know anything?"
In essence native is restricted only for Fridays. That's what I have observed in the past four years of schooling.

Let's compare. Can you compare the IQ of a 6 year old black to a white? NO. Save for the recent curriculum of schools that appear to teach toddlers beyond their level, you can see a white toddler play musical instruments, give compelling speeches. The black counterpart will cry for this and that and if they are not well to do(diobu bois oye) they will even run naked under the rain.

The list is endless. The question is why is it so and what is the way forward.

What you say is another generalization. There are many children who at the age of 5 are playing musical instruments like talking drum (mbaggu in my language and kalangu in Hausa language, dundun in Yoruba I think?) playing Niaanooru (1 string violin), playing Hoddu, etc. etc. In a lot of parts in Nigeria, and West Africa in general, being a musician is frowned down upon. Only a select group are allowed to be musicians, which I don't understand because I love music (as do many Fulani people do).

You can indeed compare IQs of a white child and black child. IQ is based on an individual basis, not a group basis. If you saw the way Fulani children can play traditional Fulani flute you would be surprised, in fact I have a video on my songs of the Sahel thread. African children are quite talented.

However, I start to digress, I do agree that many black people have inferiority complex, and you gave a clear example with your roommate. How does wearing your native clothing impede on your learning process? Ask your room mate that question next time he brings it up. Be proud to wear your native attire. In the West, Americans think it is only used for special occasion. Be a fashion trend setter, teach these brainwashed Africans that they should be proud to dress up in their native clothing. We look better in our native clothing anyways than we do in Western clothes.

Thanks for correcting me on the music issue. You are very correct. It is not that rampart though. Everybody wants his child to be a doctor, lawyer, or engineer.

I get your drift but i, personally don't feel inferior i was just trying to infer hypothetically what would have become of us if we weren't colonised. I'm just trying to reason if we would have been better off or not ? i would be glad if you answer that.

There were many areas in Africa that were indeed thriving. Many parts of Africa were doing quite well before colonisation. However, we can not change the past, but we most certainly can change the future. We can certainly make this Nigeria strong and in by doing so, other Africans will follow suit. We must do things the African way and not permit corruption. We must chase equality for all ethnic and religious groups. We mustn't do things the western way. Africans must have their own identity.

The crux of the matter is that Black people have an inferior mindset when relating to lighter skinned races.

Such that they have way lower expectations of themselves in every endeavor pursued by the rest of mindkind.

In fact, the average black person does not believe that the black collective is capable of greater heights as seen elsewhere in the world.

As a man thinketh, so is he. Connect the dots.

Well since Ancient Egypt was black, the Songhai Empire was black, many empires of old that were super successful were black. We should look back to our ancestors and forge stronger bonds within various ethnic groups and religions. Africa has a lot of potential.

Nigeria alone has some of the most Ph.D.s, Doctors, Engineers, Lawyers, etc. in the world. However, most of these people live abroad whether it is the U.K., United States, Dubai UAE, Saudi Arabia, France, Germany, Turkey, etc. etc. Nigerians and other Africans and other blacks of other nationalities (Caribbean people in the U.K.) are contributing to the bettering of those countries instead of their own. We need to work on our infrastructure and oppose any form of corruption we encounter from our leaders.

Africans and blacks have to stand and be bold and say enough is enough. No more corruption, no more black vs. black crime/hatred. It needs to stop. Westerners have tried to pit blacks against one another through their media, it is up to you as a man or woman if you want to believe everything you hear or see.
