People Freak Out Over 'Carrie' Telekinesis Marketing Prank In NYC Coffee Shop

Unsuspecting coffee shop customers in the West Village were in for quite the surprise when a young woman used her “telekinetic” powers to move a guy up a wall after he spilled hot coffee on her computer.

Of course, the freaky prank was all part of a marketing stunt for the upcoming "Carrie" remake starring Chloe Moretz. Based on Stephen King's 1974 novel, the film hits theaters October 18.

People's reactions to the stunt were priceless. Watch below:

The hidden camera prank took place at 'Snice coffee shop in Manhattan's West Village:


A fake brick wall was built:


So that it could hoist an actor in a harness:


It all starts when the actor spills a cup of coffee on the actress' computer:


She gets so mad that she uses her "telekinetic powers" to throw him against the brick wall:


Tables and chairs were remote controlled:


So that they moved when the girl screamed:


Book and framed photos on the wall were spring loaded:


So that they fell off the wall during her tantrum:


People near the scene were actors so knew what was going on, but unsuspecting customers had priceless reactions:





The whole prank was based off Chloe Moretz playing a similar character in the upcoming "Carrie" remake:
