I see a godly woman (wife in this case) as so many things rolled up into one:

1. I see a godly woman as a help meet for her husband. This includes meeting up to the godly standard so required so she assists him in all areas.

2. I see a godly woman as a protector just like Moses's wife when he was almost killed at a point due to some circumstances surrounding the circumcision of his son.

3. I see a godly woman as a prayer warrior like Hannah who knows what is needed per time and with groanings takes it to the Lord in prayer. She also knows when to relax and be happy while patiently waiting for the manifestation of her prayers as she knows that her words are honoured.

4. I see a godly woman as she who knows when to step up to the plate like Deborah/Jael's wife who had to complete the victory of Israel by conquering the enemy when men could not do it at that time, not to usurp authority but to get things done.

5. I see a godly woman as Esther who knows how to adorn and take care of herself in such a way as to always win the admiration of her husband and remain attractive to him.

6. I see a godly woman as Sarah who despite her age had a sense of humor enough to laugh, though at the appropriate time, whenever faced with a seemingly impossibly situation thus easing whatevr tension there may be in the house since she is actually the thermostat of the home.

7. I see a godly woman like Ruth who is obedient to her relatives and takes them as her family members since afterall they bore the man she loves and she can still find a way to work around their 'excesses' if any since they are all one family.

8. I see a godly woman as Mary who knows how to keep herself chaste and pure and ready for the Master's use.

9. I see a godly woman as Elizabeth who knew when to keep some things quiet, like when she hid herself during the pregnancy of her son, till the right time to divulge certain information. It is not everything that needs to be said all the time.

10. I see a godly woman as the woman with the alabaster box who despised whatever shame it was to worship at the feet of the master no-holds-barred, same as Mary who spent time learning at the masters feet. She knows when to work and when to be refreshed by the word of her saviour.

11. I see a godly woman as Dorcas who was always willing and able to give out to others with love and compassion.

12. I see a goldy woman like Lois and Eunice, Timothy's mum and grandmum who trained him well, right from his youth the Holy Scriptures thus buildung up his faith.

13. I see a godly woman as she who as said in Titus 2 knows how to give godly advice to others and also take care of her home, husband, children so that the name of the Lord will always be glorified.

14. I see a godly woman as she who knows how to adorn herself just as described in I Peter 3:3-4

I see a godly woman as so many things which I have mentioned but a few.


Lol. I did not mention Proverbs 31....Well it was deliberate. I think we can always learn alot about godly women even from other passages in the bible without thinking it has to always narrow down to the Proverbs 31 woman, though it is still a very good one.


It takes the grece of God to live a godly woman's life and this grace is always available. Let us make use of it.
