The op forgot to mention pre-ecclampsia, a life threatening condition characterized by severe hypertension and proteinuria, in a previously normotensive patient....

The Hallmark is ecclampsia, which adds generalized tonic-clonic seizures to the scenario!!!!

Drugs may suppress the blood pressure, but an immediate caesarean section is mandatory once the patient becomes ecclamptic......

Pretty scary.....

Plus all the pain we're still going to go through......

That was what I thought was going to be no. 1 while I was scrolling. Episotomy shouldn't be a part of the list as it has nothing to do with pregnancy itself, it only happens during delivery and its really not that bad. Nice list all the same.

Firstly, I'll try to examine conditions that occur in the first trimester. We will start with the first common symptom of preg. Early morning vomitiing is usually a common symptom associated with early pregnancy, it can become very scary and could often lead to hospital admission when it becomes exaggerated. In this case, its called Hyperemesis Gravidarum the cause is not clearly understood but often linked to changes that occur with hormonal changes (Hcg hormone).
