So yeah, I've decided to get myself a pet..and the obvious choice was a Dog ofcos..I love 'em...Grew up wif them...Since I moved into my own crib, I've been looking to get myself a nice small dog to keep me company..Cos it gets very lonely here sometimes,especially wen my "Oga" aint in town..lol So I was hoping to get some advice to help me choose d right pet cos they're so many breeds of dogs,in different sizes and wif different temperaments..I was looking at the Havanese breed..wot do u think??

Try a terrier. Especially a Yorkshire terrier. Lovely companions. Very playful and friendly. I should know. I had two!

Alsatian or german shephered.they are very lively,friendly and playful.youll love them

every different dog breed demand different attention...... some breeds are good with just taking them out once in the morning and once at night, while other breeds demands much more care and attention. so it all depends on how much time you are willing and able to spend on the dog, and why exactly you require this dog for.

Ill say, German Shepherd for a woman. They're cute, extremely intelligent and security conscious, also very friendly and playful. You can't go wrong with german shepherds

No it's just me..no kids..I live in an apartment...and though I spend most of my mornings and afternoons at work, i intend to give my pet regular evening walks..strictly a pet dog bt nt a sissy..Should still be tough enoff to defend its momma ....will ffl u on twitter.

From my experience and time with dogs Alsatian or doberman is what i would recommend for you. But more votes to doberman

Caucasian(not sure of d spelling) or alsatians r best..intelligence, security plus they big, cute n cuddly

About d caucasians tho, are they a stubborn breed?...i hear they can be super restless..

Labrador are nice dogs,friendly and very playful.We use to have one she's very playful and always wanted to be around people and she was also fun to be around or maybe a chihuahua,i love the size of those dogs.They are soo cute and adorable but i heard they can be possesive and over protective.

when you are able to subdue the agression of a doberman then you get the best pet you can ever imagine. And as for the agression, you can never compare dat of a doberman to alsatian. My grandma today appreciate doberman to alsatian.

Please take a west highland white terrier, the best dog in the world, they have the heart from a lion and the best is that they will not lose there fur. A very nice little dog and he can take care of you and all the people love this small white dogs

Not necessarily..they can be quite playful, t dier owners, probably wat u mean by restless.
Aren't stubborn as well (havent met any stubborn ones tho).
Considering all u said above , might be ur best bet.

Doberman is an attack dog Reknowed for its Aggression..hence its use by security agencies
U can Never completely tame dat beast.
Plus, it'll be kinda pitiable seeing a doberman tamed t submissiveness, will kinda lose its appeal dont u think?

He is a good housekeeper also when he is a small dog.

I have one and he is my best friend.
