The leader of Al qaeda in Iraq, Abu Musab al-zarqawi was killed in air strike few hours ago.

Do you think this will change the situation for better or worse in Iraq?
Re: Abu Musab Al-zarqawi, The Most Wanted Terrorist In Iraq, Killed. by twinstaiye(m): 10:16am On Jun 08, 2006
It will lead to more violence, because the militias he is leading will seek for revenge.
Re: Abu Musab Al-zarqawi, The Most Wanted Terrorist In Iraq, Killed. by DaHitler(m): 10:26am On Jun 08, 2006
It won't. This is very good news for the Americans. According to the reports I am getting from CNN, Al-zarqawi was outed by Iraqi members of his inner circle.

Good riddance to a sick homicidal bastard and blood-thirsty murderer of unarmed, hog-tied civilians.  Too bad that it took expensinve ordnance to liquidate that despicable cretin.  It would have been cheaper and more fun to run him over with a tank and then use his head as a hood ornament for a victory lap around Baghdad.

Here's hoping that more demented livestock stray into the cross-hairs of those circling Apache gunships.  Sho y'right.

This crazy guy was not even an Iraqi, he was Jordanian. The only thing he believed in was to murder innocent people in the name of Islam.

Slogan hollering psychopaths brainwashed by Al-Zafartwi and his ilk plumbed a new nadir even for terrorists when they began posting the ritualized decapitation of human beings on the Internet for millions of all ages to see worldwide. If such murderous savagery before a global Internet audience does not personify evil, then the very word needs to be re-defined.

Any descent person regardless of religious background would shudder in disgust and horror at the videotaped and Internet broadcast murder of civilian hostages in Iraq, those macabre spectacles orchestrated so proudly by Al-Zakawi's gang of serial murderers, therefore the "termination with extreme prejudice" of this vile man will be a cause for silent celebration by many in the Muslim community wordwide who have long been saddened by the damage done to the reputation of their cherished religion by Al-Queda's point-man in Iraq, the very dead Abu Musab AL-zafarti. There will be no riots in any part of Nigeria over this dead meat who represented in his wasted life the WORST and most comprehensively evil side of human character imaginable.
Re: Abu Musab Al-zarqawi, The Most Wanted Terrorist In Iraq, Killed. by ajia23(m): 9:51pm On Jun 08, 2006
When I woke up to watch the news this morning, on almost every international media available, there was a syndication of a particular report which caught my eyes. The supposed death of the alleged Al-Qaeda leader in Iraq Abu Musa Al-Zarqawi. Now just in the same way I take with a pinch of salt what these media tell me about Nigeria, I regarded this as mere propaganda to help the cause of the Republicans who are approaching election period in America. Especially against the back drop of ttheir recent low poll results, and the trashing of the same sex amendment bill in the Senate which they had hoped will help lift their popularity.

I consequently ask the questions- did Abu Musa Al-Zarqawi actually exist in real life or was he a contraption of the Bush administration to help justify increased spending to prosecute an unpopular war? If he existed, was he really the threat America would make us believe he was? And did he really die in the bombing raid as alleged by the leader of American forces in Iraq- General Caldwell and the new installed Iraqi PM? Or is this merely another sensationalist approach to the systematic disorientation of the society designed to have anodyne effects on the actual situation on groundin Iraq- America has started another Vietnam it cannot finish?

Please respond and give proofs that Al-Zarqawi actually existed and is dead. The proofs should be different from the images CNN shows us it gets from AL- Jazeera. Thank you

I believe you this is all propaganda, the military official confirm they drooped a 5000 pound bomb on the specific location where he was killed, How were they able to extract his body after that demolition is my question, this people are full of crap.I don't believe anything they tell me about this war. 1st it was a weapon of mas distruction that is yet to be found.
Re: Abu Musab Al-zarqawi, The Most Wanted Terrorist In Iraq, Killed. by DaHitler(m): 11:22pm On Jun 08, 2006
Odeku, the bombs that killed Al-zarqawi were two 500 pound Jadams (wrong spelling).
Re: Abu Musab Al-zarqawi, The Most Wanted Terrorist In Iraq, Killed. by Odeku(m): 12:47am On Jun 09, 2006
2 500 pounds Bomb = 1000 pounds right, and from the footage I saw on CNN showed a total demolition and there is no way you can pull a body out of that rumble.
Re: Abu Musab Al-zarqawi, The Most Wanted Terrorist In Iraq, Killed. by DaHitler(m): 12:55am On Jun 09, 2006
Actually the building was multiple floors tall (I think 2 floors or more). Also note that in those missiles, only 250 pounds or less is actual explosives.

As for the bomb video that cnn has been playing, a lot of the dust you see came from the displacement of the surrounding dirt.

What incentive do the Americans have to fake the death of Al-zarqawi?

I think Ajia23 is driving at the theory that Zarqawi's death is a popularity stunt because of the US elections in Nov.

I think its real, why give the "insurgents" a "hero" for the last 2/3 years. Even if he was fake, killing him now will probably encourage someone to take his place.

@Odeku
The bombs are generic 500lb ones with less than 200lbs of actual explosive in them. It may seem like a lot, but I doubt it will obliterate a body except he was sitting on it. More info below

Ajia23,

I am with you.

How exactly do you drop two 500 lb bombs and have a good face, head, teeth left?

What did he die from Smoke inhalation?

Got to be a fake.

You don't need any proof because you are not amenable to rational thinking.

The coward beheaded a journalist and posted it over the internet.
Re: Abu Musab Al-zarqawi, The Most Wanted Terrorist In Iraq, Killed. by Jakumo(m): 4:38am On Jun 09, 2006
Those questioning the very existence of Al-Zafarti might as well also cast doubt on the existence of Hitler, Pol Pot, Idi Amin and Charles Taylor based on the premise that any person whom one has not met personally probably does not exist and must have been a concoction of historians or some government propaganda machine.

Following this line of reasoning, maybe we can expect our conspiracy theorists to postulate that President Obasanjo of Nigeria might not really exist because he has not yet paid every Nigerian citizen a personal visit to confirm that Baba Iyabo is in fact a flesh and blood entity, and not just an abstract media image.

Our armchair philosophers might as well go ahead and opine next that the hostages who were decapitated by Al-Zafarti's cut-throats for the global internet audience were in fact actors paid by Hollywood to pretend they were having their heads lopped off so as to provide justification for the war in Iraq.  (No wonder the US military is shipping so much tomato ketchup to Iraq- it is used as fake blood for the production of those bogus decapitation videos, right ? )

Some contributors to this discussion have truly passed through the looking-glass and entered their own fairy-tale world of Alice in Wonderland here, so the rest of us unimaginative folks still occupying the real world can expect some genuine entertainment under this topic.  I'm standing by for more of this good stuff.
Re: Abu Musab Al-zarqawi, The Most Wanted Terrorist In Iraq, Killed. by ajia23(m): 6:35am On Jun 09, 2006
@ Jakumo

I pardon you for your naivety because I know you acytually spoke from ignorance. Even while I amnot insinuating that Al-Zarqawi did not exist, I cannot but point out to you that it is infact a possibility to develop a character, give it life and sustain that live through broadcasting and other modern day techniques. I say this because, as an insider who has worked in a movie production, and movie editing studio before, I know what the power of AT and a matrox editing computer can do. I have personally put the image of someone in a meeting with Bill clinton, when the event never toook place while demonstarting to some young editing enthusiasts, the power of modern day technology.

Conjuring up a character like Zarqawi, or Osama, will definitely be very easy for the Americans to do. Otherwise, with all her projected technological strengths and her GPSS tracking system, why has Osama evaded capture by American forces? He's character is still being kept alive to blackmail and hoodwink the American people into giving away their liberties ostensibly to fight over exaggerated or totally non-existent terrorist threats. And as a secondary objective, to use fear to cajole, oppress, and suppress other peoples of the world into subservience to the American administration. This tactic has been used before when the American were battling the Soviets. It is being used again, only this time, they chose a very wrong enemy-Islam. A lot of us Muslims know that it is absolutely anti-Islamic to carry out heinous crimes like the ones purported to have been carried out by Osama, Zarqawi and cohorts, as a result, we see this as a direct affront on us, our rights to live peacefully, and a ploy to completely eradicate our way of life. Thus, it makes us question whether in reality, these so called terrorist exist, or if they do, they are not part of an American conspiracy to whip the world into line.

I still have my doubts. As for Baba Iyabo, don't worry, I know he exists- i have met him personally.
Re: Abu Musab Al-zarqawi, The Most Wanted Terrorist In Iraq, Killed. by debosky(m): 6:40am On Jun 09, 2006
you're allowed to have your doubts, but if 1,400 people were killed in baghdad alone in may, i doubt if they actually needed to create someone to be like al zarqawi. so they paid someone to behead the american guy berg?? just to fool the american people? nah i think the dude was real, by the way with tatoos, visual recognition amongt others, i'm pretty much convinced. it wont solve the problem tho, someone else will tale his place.

i supported his rebellion in principle, but not in action, cos he killed so many innocents
Re: Abu Musab Al-zarqawi, The Most Wanted Terrorist In Iraq, Killed. by ajia23(m): 7:34am On Jun 09, 2006
@ Debosky
When I asked if he existed intially, what was on my mind was whether he posed the threats that the American media would make us believe. That whether he had the capabilities they insinuated, not whether he was a real person. As for his alleged deeds, if He actuall beheaded an American who was not an agressor, by Islamic standards, he has exceeded the limits. But do not also doubt the capacity of the Americans to sacrifice some of their own to drive home a point. I t is not beyond them to do. Those who lose their lives in such courses are considered expendable.

As for the course Al-Zarqawi and others are seemingly fighting for, it is all balderdash. Planting roadside bombs to kill innocent people just because they disagree with them, what principle is there in that? A muderous one? I think the Iraqi's need someone to talk to them to stop the wanton destruction of life and property. They need to realise that the invading forces need just what they are doing-killing each other, to exploit and keep them under perpetual subservience. I do not see any clear cut policy in that, except maybe when they kill American soldiers.

Well Terorism is a global treat so I think what the American's are doing in Iraq is not bad. They should also do so with Iran and north Korea otherwise more Adolf will emmerge frm nowhere  undecided
Re: Abu Musab Al-zarqawi, The Most Wanted Terrorist In Iraq, Killed. by Drusilla(f): 10:10am On Jun 09, 2006
It's no secret that America formed the Islamic Jihad revolutionaries as a way to level the playing field against Arab Kings with the oil.

It is well reported that we trained Osama and then armed his group in the Afghanistan war.

There are all kinds of movies out, showing step by step that 9/11 was an event carried out by the American government.

You can read book after book, from 20 years ago, talking about the fact that one big event was needed by the Elite to take away some of the rights/power of the American people.

How can the fact that what was written in those books came true, even though they were written 20 years before 9/11 be ignored?

As Hitler said: People will believe a great big lie quicker than they will believe a whole bunch of little ones.

9/11 was one such great big lie.

It had to happen, we could not allow Saddem to allow oil to be bought with Euro's, not dollars.

If banks could allow oil to be bought with Euro's, they would not obey the US, who they need propped up and strong, or else their economy's would come to a screeching halt.

We could not allow Saddem to destroy the US economy.

I would say that is a pretty huge incentive for the US to stage events to get the go ahead to get Saddem.

I do not even disagree with it. Whose Saddem but some dictator we had propped up for 30 years?

I disagree with the lies but I know the governments of the world operate on Machivelli principals. Lie through your teeth to get the power, then you will be able to change things as you might want.
Re: Abu Musab Al-zarqawi, The Most Wanted Terrorist In Iraq, Killed. by ajia23(m): 11:01am On Jun 09, 2006
@ Drusilla, you are well-informed. I read an article about the proposed US invasion of Iraq by Stiltz Clark, and he stated most of what you have restated. It is obvious the threat to the dollar would mean a renegotitation of a lot of things, and America will not allow it happen peacefully, but eventually, it's bound to occur anyway. Except if there is a major volte face regarding American foriegn policies, I dare to say she has finally entered a war of attrition from which she cannot escape unscahed. There's been a rebirth of leftist- nationalism in Latin American countries fuelled by an increasing anti- American sentiment. Coupled with what is already happening in the middle-east, and even Africa, America should not be under the illusion that it's Military or economic leverage can overcome these challenges. Methinks the UK is kow-towing America all the way, only to surreptituously pull the rug from under her feet to become World power again. America needs to know that she has to be mindful of whom her friends are. How else would you explain the refusal of the British to adopt the Euro and stop it's own currency from circulating? It has obvious advantage over the dollar in terms of value. Also the deputy secretary general of the Un a Brit made scathing remarks recently at America's policies even towards the UN. These are all indicators of events that will unfold, only the US is too busy in grandstanding to notice, and Americans are to preoccupied with living the American dream that they do not see what is coming to hit them.

Only history will vindicate me.
