Absolutely No! I have no intention of selling e-book here. I just wish to share my experience in importation business and to help other Nigerians that might be interested. That's all!
Sincerely importation is a very lucrative business if you understand how to run it.
It is a business and not just a project. I will want you to see it from that perspective.
Until you see it as a business, you may not make anything out of it.

I have seen people buy (invest) in mini importation e-books and they were frustrated with the contents. Not because the e-book was rubbish (though there are some with rubbish stuffs anyway) but because they were expecting it (the e-book) to be "abraka-dabra" (magical).
So, if what you are expecting here is also an importation magic, you might be disappointed.
Importation is a real business and not a get-rich-quick scheme

The amazing thing about importation business today is that you don’t need to travel to foreign and distant lands to find and get your products. You can source for products, make necessary contacts and have your products delivered to your house or office. It’s so easy and straight forward! Thanks to Technology!

In the next 2-3 days, you will learn how to legitimately buy stuffs from a US store even if the store does not ship to Nigeria.

Let me start here.
The US stores where you can buy cheap and quality items.
There are lots of US stores where you can import cheap and quality products. Among these stores are; www.amazon.com, www.ebay.com, www.buynow.com.

This is a store where you can buy your items such as; books (hard copy), accessories, smart phones, ipad, laptops etc.

NB: I may not be able to provide snapshots but just follow the explanations
So, if you are yet to register at amazon.com, you can just do so. It is as easy as ABC.
Visit www.amazon.com. Click the new user link and register.
You can register with your Nigeria address even if you don't have a US address. That does not matter for now (We will address that later).

Spend time to get familiar with the website;
The search box, the departments, member area.

How to find items that can be shipped internationally
I have heard people say that sellers on Amazon cannot send items outside US. Anyway, this could be true but there are still some sellers that ship items internationally. It depends on what you were searching for and how you performed the search.
To search for additional items that qualify for international shipping, do any of the following:

- Go to the AmazonGlobal page.

Keep the International Shipping filter selected in your search bar.
- Use the drop-down in the main search bar to select a product category (e.g. clothing, electronics).

Note:
Items that qualify for international shipping will feature a note on the product detail page under Shipping that says, This item is also available for shipping to select countries outside the U.S.

Let's get back to business

How to make payment for items
To pay for any item on amazon, you don't need a third party. you can do it by yourself.

At Amazon, you can use any of these cards to make payment for your item(s):
- GTB Naira MasterCard (The normal GTB ATM card)
- Zenith Naira Master Card
- UBA Africard (Visa card); You can obtain this card even if you are not a customer of this bank within 5 hours.
- Access Visa Card

So, you can attach multiple payment cards to your amazon account. This gives you the opportunity of choosing from any of the cards for payment.
That is very easy.
When you log on to your amazon account, click the ' Your account' menu and find the 'Add credit or debit card' option to add the card(s) you will be using for payment.

That's a piece of cake.

How to ship your items
Most sellers on Amazon don't ship internationally, so, you will need a U.S address.
I give you some options:
OPTION 1
You might have to get someone (friend, relative or family) in U.S who can be helping you receive the items and send it to Nigeria for you.

OPTION 2
You can get your own U.S address where your shipments will be sent to and from there to Nigeria. You can get your U.S address http://www.myus.com, www.ordertonigeria.com

I tell you that these are the most used options by Nigerians for importation.

The charges deducted on transactions vary from one card to the other. As at yesterday, GTB Naira Mastercard is at 167naira to $1 and Zenith Naira Mastercard is just a little lesser.
When making purchases ensure that you check the current conversion.

You can get blackberry phones on amazon even cheaper. I did a search recently on blackberry phones and I was excited with the price I got. I saw bold 2 at N9619, curve 4 at N12599, bold 5 at N20000. I hope you know how much these phones are sold here in Nigeria? I once bought a bold 5 (though I am not a BB freak), I decided to sell it around N32000. Come and see buyers; Some people even kept calling after I've sold it.

Getting tablets on Amazon is affordable and worth reselling if you have the market. An advantage is that, you can get original tabs (both new and used) with popular names like samsung at cheaper rate. I said original because their are lots of chinko samsung today.

Shipment fee to Nigeria is one of the major challenges in importation from US because it's somehow high. Anyway, individuals are really trying to use personal contacts. Have you tried myus.com?

The truth is that your product and market will determine your capital. You can have as low as N10,000 and as a high as N1m.
Whether N10,000 or N1m, it is still about your product.

I recently went to a store to check out the new samsung galaxy tab 3. It's really an excellent tab with good specs plus look and feel effects and sells for N53,000. I know it really worths the price.
Just playing around, I decided to check this same tab out on our importation website (you can download your free copy of Home Based Importation Business at www.ibkinfotech.com)I already gave this guide last week) to see 'how far'. I did my search as usual and I was dazed with what I saw!
The Samsung Tab 3 costs just N39,000 (including shipment fee to my house). So, this Nigerian store will make a profit of N13,000 from just a single tab. This is amazing! So if they just sold 10 of these tabs in one month (which is more than possible), they will make N130,000 from simply selling samsung tab 3.
Whoever told you that importation business is not profitable does not know anything about it at all! QED!
You don't need to import samsung tablets to make money. There are also cheaper products within N5,000 to N10,000 that will also give you good profits if you maximize your market well.
