No Artiste will leave his/her record label if they're well taken care off! Why's it always like this? If we recall, Wizzkid had this same contract issue! Do your artiste well such that they'll want their contract to be renewed even if its exulsted!

The problem is the the artistes and not the record label. If you sign a contract, do well and obey it. No record label will sign an unknown artiste for one or two yrs. They spend their money to market these unknown artistes and when it is time to reap, the artistes who have become famous would want to abscond. Let him obey the contract he signed.

You are funny.. Audu said something that most sophisticated illiterates cannot grasp. The record label is a FOR PROFIT ENTITY , no be charity case. Of course they are out to make money, so focusing on the most commercial segment of their signings is it not the most reasonable thing to do? I guess business sense no be for everybody.
