1. targets. The successful candidates will also have experience in engaging with senior executives from a variety of industry sectors. A training and consulting organization request for the services of Business Development Managers (BDM) in her Lagos and Port Harcourt offices. The BDMs will sustains the growth of company’s business by establishing new business relationships with corporate clients within the banking, oil & gas, Telecoms and FMCG industries. They will be responsible for the day to day management of opportunities from prospecting until formal engagement and will play a part in facilitating that transition into engagement. By articulating the value proposition of the company, they will help executives realize the financial benefits and transformational value to their business offered by a relationship with the company. Requirements/Qualifications 2. First degree( with minimum of 2.2) in any discipline 3. MBA and/or professional certification in either of project management, business analysis or SAP will be added advantage 4. Minimum of 4 years business development experience in reputable training and consulting organizations. 5. The successful candidates will have a proven track record in selling training and consulting services and achieving revenue Responsibilities 1. Meet assigned revenue targets by generating business from new and existing clients 2. Set up of meetings with appropriately qualified contacts 3. Partner with relevant team members to create winning proposals 4. Anticipate and recognize any client objections in order to close sales 5. Coordinate opportunities from prospect through to engagement 6. Research and communicate information about target sectors, customers and competitors 7. Proactively communicate news and insights on prospect organizations and contacts 8. Gain and share understanding of prospect’s organization, processes, business strategies, product or service offerings and decision-making structures 9. Work collaboratively with the company’s resources to define the approach and strategy for achieving client requirements. 10. Effectively negotiate with multiple levels of executive management within prospective client organizations 11. Use in-depth knowledge and insight of key competitors to create compelling reasons for prospective clients to engage with the company. 12. Articulate to clients the benefits of the project management approach and educate them about new ideas and new ways of thinking. 13. Communicate the status of opportunities, clearly articulate next steps and discuss potential risks with the wider sales and account management team in weekly meeting Skills 1. Proven track record of reaching sales targets and KPI’s 2. Comprehensive knowledge of all facets of the business development process 3. Solid financial, business and industry insights and consultative selling skills 4. Well organized and methodical in how business is conducted 5. Proven ability to create compelling written collateral in a concise manner 6. Self-motivated with strong communication and organizational skills 7. Able to listen to, lead and influence senior management 8. Enthusiastic about contributing to our growing business, its brand, processes and client base 9. Established network of business contacts 10. Collaborative team player 11. Comfortable presenting in group settings 12.
