interesting, really interesting indeed
can one rule out racism or is it just a case gone bad, to the extent that the son even had to write a letter of plea for his dad. well things happen.
but i don't understand if he has served his term and had been released since why does he still face deportation?
that roger adams guy seems to have something against the guy or is it just Nigerian as a whole?

In general and on average, Nigerian immigrants, they commit more crimes than other people," Adams said, a redacted copy of the report shows.

well i don't live there so i can't dispute or claim its right or wrong.
hope he scales through it

SENATOR JD:

but i don't understand if he has served his term and had been released since why dose he still face deportation?

I, myself don't understand this. Also, they seem to have slipped this under the rug - this is the first time I am hearing of it, and he was fired in January.

Without any question, the lawyer was wrong.
But is there any reason why Nigerians are being targeted?

Okorie's lawyer Raymond D'Uva has fought deportation, arguing his client will be imprisoned and tortured if returned to Nigeria

And I'm not sure if this statement by Okorie's lawyer is correct, but I wish him the best.

I'm sure it has to do with the stigma - 419ers and such.

But as you all say often on this site, they are simply generalizing. It's really unfortunate.

But I'm happy that they took a stand on this and fired him.

Its the law, if you've commited crime you get booted from the country. Why is everyone now crying?

Yes, it is the law, but that doesn't permit this racist bastard to approach the situation in that despicable manner.

This is the only problem I have with Chibueze Okorie:
Okorie's lawyer Raymond D'Uva has fought deportation, arguing his client will be imprisoned and tortured if returned to Nigeria

This is absolutely a false statement; and I expect mighty Chibueze (as a pastor or what ever he calls himself) to immediately correct his lawyer.
It is no right to allow our nation to be degraded for the sake of staying in United States.

Why would he be imprisoned in Nigeria, if he's already served his time here?
