Lot of postives to take 4rm dis,i dnt thnk dere ar any side or negative effects on d earth...Jst scientists ar rili hapi n excited of being opportuned to research on dis veri 'rare' one as 'tis veri ancient(mre lyk a time capsule) n wuld provide tangible info on hw d earth n d sun were lyk millions of yrz ago by tracin it bak...

Scientists do hope d sun doeznt melt it to shreds cause its an hyperbolic comet and wuld b 'bout 1km away wen passing d surface of the Sun which is pretty close, but considering 'tis already in an escape velocity mode,it tends to move infinitely at a veri tremendous speed so d comet haz a chance of surviving d ever-blazing heat of d sun...

Crap......Do you know how large the sun is??

The Earth is like a speck compared to it, let alone a comet.

It will simply disintegrate the comet as if nothing happened.

@OP. You're not too intelligent for adding that alarming opening comment.

Why are people so gullible? How can the OP be so ignorant? Someone uploaded a video made from powerpoint slides and screen recording software, added a few supposedly "mysterious" signs or mumbo-jumbo to make it look legit, quoted completely unreliable sources -as if youtube users are now reputable astrophysicists- and people are getting scared. Guys, get your facts straight before posting junk online and showing the world your mediocrity. Check the links below for the full, objective and unadulterated FACTS (something anyone could have done by themselves if they bothered)!

Can we all just stop displaying our ignorance for the world to see? Not everything is a conspiracy!

Time Of Elijah: Comet ISON expected to impact the sun around 28 November 2013, which could have catastrophic consequences of biblical proportions.

Alikaxon: Pls, the poster hadn't explained to us what a comet is? Who developed it? Whats the aim? Its effects?....etc. We are ignorant, I'am not a science student. Pls, I would like you to further elucidate this, so it doesn't seem inordinate to us. Please!
Bros lwkmd. Comets are just a conglummeration of ice,rock,Co2,etc. They are leftovers of planet formation. They orbit round the sun and when they get near the sun, they heat up and dissolve. Shikena. No one developed it and it has no mission; just a vagabond in the solar system. And you must not be a science student to know some of these things. I was once an Art student and now a Law student. This is the 21st century, anything you don't know, google it out. It is not only the police that is your friend, the internet is also your friend. Hope we get to see Martians one of these days.

The bible did not describe any such incident befalling earth in the book of revelation, so am not panicking, that's not in line with GOD's way to destroy earth.
