ASUU At It Again!!! by Nobody: 11:48am On Nov 25, 2013
For over four months now, ASUU and the federal government have been in a tug of war, holding meetings upon meetings and so on. To be frank, I have become quite bored with this ASUU' s attitude. It seems they are stubborn and not even ready to comply at all. It has gotten to the extent that i have no interest in whatever they say any more. Oh! I wish i went to a private university from the very beginning!

It's never too late now. You can withdraw from the government varsity and seek admission into the private varsity.

The patient dog eats the fatest bone, just a little sacrifice will better our educational sector and that's the sacrifice we are taking now.. Can you imagine that non of the Nigeria university is to 10 in Africa and top 50 in the world, so what are we studying them when a chemistry graduate has never in his/her life seen sulphur, a communication student who doesn't even know how a studio looks like, an economics student who don't know how to solve a financial problem etc all because we don't have the infrastructures, our educational system is only base on theories, we don't have any company to relate with around the school premises or beyond for researches, receiving lectures under a licking roof, etc..
I, as a Nigeria student, support the ASUU struggle with all might heart..

u r absolutely right but we shouldn't blame the fg alone, every one has a part to play in this to make things right. If ASUU gets what it is running after, how are we so sure they will use the fund appropriately? Some schools till collect registration fees apart from the legal and normal ones students already paid for.

Yes, I understand that there are some unscrupulous lecturers and school administrator who corrupt the University system throughb bribery and corruption, harassment of female students, selling of GDP etc.. But I will still refer the panacea to government.. I think as a director or GM of a company, after solving the yearning of my worker financially, I will make sure they work assiduous to earn more profits to for the organisation.. That's what the government should do, their should be a task force in the university system who should not part of the academic staff to cross check all the anomalies in the system..
If that is done, then the lecturers can fasten their seatbelt for work..
I now drop my keybord for your views

^^^ thanks for your contributions. You sound like someone who sees the best in everything. But in this our country, most of these people in high places seek what brings them gain first, and leave others to the leftovers. Everyone just fight for himself first. So is ASUU doing and also the FG.
