The people who've commented are not JOBLESS, it is wrong of you to go name calling on people. We both know the OP and some posters are just agitated, it will ease after a while. As for me, I'm retrieving my MTN line on Monday sharpaly. No time.

By the way you sound like a BB user, true?

Useless ? and u took it this personal? Isn't that ironic?

Do u lot think if they're benefiting from this they would have taken such a decision of truncating it? Everybody goes into business to maximize profit as much as possible, even you. u were never the one that convinced them into being liberal in first instance, which allowed most of us non-bb user to also flex it, now the same people that made it open have decided to shut it so why this unecessary complaint? Are they the only network in naija? why don't u carry placards for other operators.

sometimes we Nigerians act so selfish.

Give them ur yansh to bleep, the day u complain u cant take it no more cos of the pain, they'll call u names and threaten to sue you. Typical naija.

THE BEST OPTION IS LET US SWITCH OFF AIRTEL SIMS. NIGERIA DOESN'T HAVE A CULTURE OF PROTEST THATS WHY EVERYONE CAN COME OVER HERE AND TAKE US FOR A RIDE.
THEN LET'S MOVE OVER TO NCC FACEBOOK PAGE AND DEMAND BETTER, CHEAPER, AFFORDABLE BROWSING PLANS.

NCC IS NOT REGULATING DATA. THEY ARE MORE INTERESTED IN VOICE THAT'S WHY THESE PEOPLE ARE EXPLOITING US AND WE ARE LOOKING FOR ALTERNATIVE.

SO I SERIOUSLY SUPPORT. LETS SWITCH OFF OUR SIMS FOR 21 DAYS. EVERYONE PLEASE LETS DO IT LET'S HAVE ONE MIND.

Haha! Na to port sure pass..

Options on my Mind

*****

MTN - 2500 (4.5GB)

Etisalat - 2000 (500MB)

The others - #Fail

I no fit shout ...

AIRTEL just spoil the joy!

****

Meanwhile,

A rumored subsidized plan for non-blackberry
Devices is to be released soon after the ban.

Let's hope.

kayLion: I laugh in Chinese..Android users are more proud than Android makers...you are always on here bragging #teamAndroid but you don't want to pay for it, shebi una dey enjoy 2gb before, u dey stream movies, u dey do anyhow..oya, pay 3000naira per month to get 3gb and make u con dey download and stream anyhow...

Bros , I wonder oooo. They want to enjoy good thing without stress. The truth is, airtel would have lost a great deal of revenue with this their free-handedness, all thanks to cheap androids like tecno.

The most annoying part is they are always swift at juxtaposing BB with android. Is that not what makes BB special?. Its simple, if u cant take the heat, buzz out of the kitchen. They want to eat their cake and at the same time have it.

I am also airtel non-BB user and i'll not blame them for what they did. If it was so profitable as we may have thought, they'll never have opted for this option, when the aim of their existence is to make profit in first instance.

I personally experienced great change in the network this past few months ( esp since tecno has being rolling out phones every months cheesy). their network has being so frustrating. I guess the load is more than what they bargained for.

Don't mind those e-rats making unnecessary noise. They didn't demonstrate when MTN, and GLO stopped their own many months ago without warning. Instead of them to appreciate air tel for allowing the service to run for months they are here making empty threats.
My advice to you people is to break the sim card and flush it.
Switching it off won't help you people.
To all matured minds who have enjoyed the service while it lasted, let's appreciate airtel and make them see reasons while they should allow the service to continue.

An Igbo man mistakenly sent 2million Naira to a wrong phone number via Mobile Money. He realized that before the person wud withdraw the whole money, he had to think of what to do if he was to get his money back. To the person's phone number, he immediately sent a text: "Hello Dark and Worthy Initiate, I hope you are okay. I believe you’ve received the money I sent you for the initiation ceremony into Eternal Mystical Order Of Glorious Satanism in the Ogboni Fraternity scheduled to happen at 12midnight tomorrow. That money is only for transport. I will send you more for pocket money and there are riches awaiting you. 2 weeks after the initiation, the family member closest to you will die under mysterious circumstances and this death will unlock your ticket to wealth, ability to fly at night and change into all kinds of animals to deliver your various assignments. Remember to carry a syringe and needle meant to draw your blood every 20 minutes. Please don’t be late because the Viceroy of Satan himself will be present to officiate the ceremony. Thanks in advance. But incase you are not ready to join, please send back the money otherwise you will die in the next 24hrs".
3 Minutes later, he got a Mobile Money message: 'You have received 2million Naira for your mobile money account'.

Never mind them. They are crying as if it was airtel that forced them to buy an Android phone when they knew too well that they can't afford it data subscription.
Airtel is not benefiting from the service that's the bottom line.

People like me have joined forces several times to affect changes that is legitimate not seeking for a cheap way out of self inflicted pains and hardship.
I was among those who spearheaded the first ever phone switch off because of voice call tariff.
If you want me to follow your self serving protest I won't because we didn't protest nor complained when MTN and GLO suspended the same service on their network.
If we are to protest for data subscription to come down I will be fully involved but your protest is for a network to engage in an illegality just to serve you right.
Remember it wasn't airtel that forced an android phone on you. The day you were buying that phone you knew too well about its data subscription.
As for your cheats, I don't know what you mean by that.

There's no change to be effected in illegality.
Airtel has a data subscription for mobile phones and that includes Android and they're not closing that one so I don't know where you get off shouting that they are shutting you down when the plan has always been for BlackBerry.
The subscription says BlackBerry Internet service (bis) and not ais.
Learn to do the right thing and fight for the right thing.
I use a Z10 and pay for my data fully at 3k for Mtn which I can then use as hot spot in my laptop and ipad.
Get a 3k5 Mtn data and enjoy your browsing too. You need to imbibe the culture of paying for whatever goods you want and bit how to cheat authorities.
