The golden rule is: dress the part or slightly above the part. What this means is that your dressing should be at the mode, style and level you ought to if you eventually land the job or at a level above that position i. e. at the level your direct boss will dress. It does not matter whether it is Zenith Bank or Nigerian Breweries or Xyz Incorporated. Don't try the dress down culture until you are in!

Suit is a MUST for any bank interview.
If you do not put on suit to ZENITH bank interview, you have failed half way.
You must super impress your interviewers to get the job without a suit.
Please, do not squander your chances except if you do not seriously want the job.

better to be over dressed than under dressed. Noone can disqualify you for wearing a suit, but you can be disqualified for not wearing one, especially if it official dress code of the bank you are interviewing with.

Not even only a Bank you must corporately dressed when going for interviews. For Banks even your shoe must be shining like diamond because the people interviewing you will assess all that.

Nigerians have copied suit from the white men and turned it into an impractical UNIFORM.
Even the oyibos dont wear suits like we do lol.
Everybody that has a 'job' now wears a suit.
Standing under the sun, boarding buses, walking along the streets in SUITS.
Please wear what matches your status in life and what 'suits' you.

Now onto banks, This is tricky because if you want their job, you'd have to conform to their rules. IF they have it written in their workplace practices that you MUST wear a suit to the bank, then by all means please do. It's just that so many people assume that working in a bank = wearing a suit.

Don't follow blind conformity. Dress SMART and RESPONSIBLE to work. You aint gotta wear a bloody suit lol.
If I had an interview at a bank (that did not explicitly tell me what to wear for the interview) and wore something smart, say a nice silky long sleeve blouse, tucked into a belted skirt and a pair of funky black pumps, and knowing my capabilities didn't pass the interview because "you didn't wear a suit." I'd say, "Go to blazes, bumbling ignorant bafoons. I don't need your enslaving job in the first place." (Note the lack of exclamation marks).

That's just my opinion guys.

well, when I wrote Zenith bank's test, we were expressely told that if we were successfully, we'ld be called upon and when coming we were to be dressed in suit. Infact on the interview day, everybody was dressed in suit. So atleast for Zenith bank, suit is a must.

man, its better to be on the safer side, be on ur suit, cos it will add to ur marks. it costs u nothing going there on suit rather it will cost u much, refusing to go their on suit. so pls be on ur suit. its helpful. :-
